Ahsoka   I hold onto him for dear life, like he could be taken from me at any moment. Nico is stroking my hair as I sob into his shoulder. I have never felt so relieved to be in a man’s arms. I feel safe with him and I never want him to let go. I pull away and begin to sign but Nico stops me. “Do you not realize you have been talking since you woke up?” I look at him confused. I start signing again but he again stops me. “Ahsoka, Celine found the spell that prevented you from speaking. You can talk now. We’ve all heard it. Try.” I look at him like he’s crazy but Celine did promise she would try to get me to talk if there was a way. She must’ve found it. I sigh and give it a go. “Nico.” I gasp at hearing my own voice. Nico is smiling at me. “I can talk,” I say slowly and quietly.  “I can talk,” I say a bit louder and smile. 

Ahsoka After breakfast Nico walks me to his mother’s car and I notice Max and Shaun are in a jeep. “They are going to protect you. There will be other guards in the mall but you won’t notice they are there. I have meetings to attend otherwise I would come with you.”“I think you are being a bit excessive brother. There hasn’t been a single incident since her memories were restored. We’ll be fine,” says Natasha as she rolls her eyes.“Better safe than sorry, Natasha. I’ll see you later.” He gives me a quick kiss before shutting my door. Kateri drives about forty minutes out of pack territory to the city. She parks close to the entrance and we get out. Ahsoka I am left on the couch with Dimitri as Nico turns and takes off towards the forest. I am in shock at what he is saying, he blames his mother. I am surprised at his behavior and don’t know what to say. Nico I love seeing how happy Ahsoka is at the moment. She is smiling wide as confetti rains down onto her beautiful hair. She is not the same girl she was when she first arrived here. She was so timid and quiet not being able to trust anyone. She was so fearful. She may not be as confident as I would like her to be but she trusts my family and has seems to understand we love her. I know she loves us and this pack that she is so concerned someone is going to die because of her. Thankfully she has promised not to run. Ahsoka  Though I have now been taught how to swim, I am not a strong swimmer and the shore is so far away I don’t think I’ll make it. I hit the water and I feel the sting of the impact. Thankfully it’s not winter so the water is not freezing. I see a rock to my left and I realize I came very close to dying. I struggle to keep my head above water as I try to make it to the rock I barely missed and once I safely make it I rest on top of it. It’s mostly in the water with the top barely skimming the surface, but at least it gives me something to hold onto until help arrives. I look around and try to judge how far it is to the shore but the memory of nearly drowning keeps me from trying. I can still hearing fighting above. I try to hold back my tears at the thought of all those wolves t
