Chp 10 Pt. 2 Attack On The Pack

When I come out from the tree I stare at my mate for a moment. She is sitting on a log looking at the view over the falls. The moonlight is shining down on her and it gives her skin a glowing appearance. She really does look like an angel at that moment. Max and Shaun stay in their wolf forms and lay down near the log as I walk up to her and straddle the log, pulling her close to me.
“I win,” she teases while giving me a peak on the lips, making me chuckle. She leans against my chest as we take in the view. Several other wolves have arrived, some shifted, some didn’t. Fires are being built and I see everything needed to make s’mores are hidden in a log.
“Have you ever had a s’more?”
“I’ve heard they are delicious, but no.”

Nico“Dad, the bond is gone, I can’t feel it.” Gibson makes another portal and dad grabs me to force me to walk. We all go through and find ourselves in the hospital.“Dr. Lee! We need you now,” my dad says but more as an order. A gurney appears and I set Ahsoka down. Nurses and Dr. Lee move around each other like a dance, hooking machines up to her and beginning CPR.“She’s hypothermic!”I don’t even hear anything else they’re saying. I see them wheel her away and I am left standing there. My mother then walks through the door and I suddenly lose it. I sob harder than I ever have before. She rushes to me and I hug her like I did when I was a little boy needing the comfort of his mother.

Ahsoka When I wake up I can feel this electric current sensation traveling up and down my right side. I open my eyes and adjust to the darkness. The lights are off and it’s dark outside. I can hear the monitor begin to beep faster as panic sets in but I look to my right and see Nico. I immediately calm down and smile at him. He is asleep. I try to sit up but my body refuses to hold my weight. I feel very weak. I try to remember what happened but for some reason can only remember being in cold water. AhsokaIt’s the day before my birthday and Kateri said we are having a small family birthday celebration for me. I don’t know what to expect at a birthday party since I’ve never had or been to one. I know you typically get gifts and a cake. We had a funeral for all the wolves that died the day of graduation. It was really sad but there were lots of stories shared about those died and there were many laughs at those memories. I hope I don’t have to attend one of those again for a long time.Nico seems to think I will shift tonight at midnight for the first time.
