(10 years ago) Author POV:- It's not that Trisha thinks Jason doesn't love her like his own, rather, she sometimes wishes he didn't. It would make it so very easy to leave him behind, run away from the demands of the life she'd always thought he wanted. But as things stand, disappearing would break Jason's heart, and Trisha just can't do it. He's the only father she's ever known, kind and stern and the first gentle touch she knew since the vague memory of her parents' passing as a child. The most difficult part is that Trisha herself knows it gives Jason no pleasure to demand that she need to marry. Her fiancé is certainly not of her choosing, and Jason has instilled in her a great respect for the ideals of love and devotion.
