One senior Steve and another who didn't tell us his name, said that they are waiting for you two at the gate." The two friends had barely eaten their meal halfway when they heard two familiar voices. They turned and scanned the entrance of the restaurant. It was Steve and Jim."Hey, we must leave now, if not, we may never find what we are looking for." Juliet said quickly, standing up. Jane did same."Where, then, shall we go?" She asked."See, we shall head for the kitchen right away. The cooks there would be delighted, and must have a foreknowledge of who their employer is. They will evidently be saying good things about him. We shall seize the opportunity and hear all we can. If we are found out, we are done for." The other said."But the way to the kitchen?" Jane asked."I do not know. We shall use our instincts. Be careful not to attract attention. Steve and Jim might be looking for us. The restaurant is crowded. Let us use this opportunity." Juliet said and walked ahead, putting her phone into her cross bag.Jane followed quickly. She stared around and caught a glimpse of her boyfriend.

The two slumped on the floor and remained silent. After a while, Jane stood up abruptly and brought out her phone from her bag."What are you up to?" Juliet asked her friend."I want to observe the room." Jane replied.The latter turned on her phone's flashlight and the dark room became partly illuminated. Jane walked round the room. There were dozens of tightly sealed boxes placed near the wall facing the door. A few inches above the lintel, were some cabinets on the the same wall."Ah... Girl, there is something bigger than us here." She said, turning to her friend.Juliet sprung up to her feet and equally activated her phone's flash light, walking towards her friend."Oh... Girl, even in my previous life, I was not a science student. Our survival depends largely on God, and proportionately on you, also. Let's check the boxes." "Let's go." Steve said and they both stood up. "Waiter, bill please." Jim said.The waiter who had served them quickly approached them with a bill in his hand."I wonder if we have to pay for what we did not eat?" Steve asked rhetorically."We have to, though. We took the trouble in ordering for it in the first place." Jim said.The waiter narrowed his brows in suspicion. Had the two found out that what was in their rice was human meat and not chicken?"You two, why do you leave your meal untouched, and you have been here almost all day?" He asked curiously."As you can see, we ordered four plates of rice and chicken; two for us and two for our girlfriends. They told us that they would be here. We have not seen them till now. How can we have the heart to eat in their absence?" That wasa pensive Steve.The waiter smiled. He had thought otherwise. "In that case, I will receive only half the bill as the restaurant's way of compensating you." He said.Jim and Steve left the restaurant

"Your excellency, the plan is all my idea. Mr Sullivan came to me yesterday and demanded to know what I have on my mind, since I am the host of this year's talk show. I told him everything, and he jotted it down, promising me to connect me with the very best organisers. Hours went by today, he did not call me. I tried his line severally, but it was switched off. It was at the last minute that I went out and contacted these organisers and their teams. I have not even paid them. I will withdraw two thousand pounds later from the ATM and give it them for their services." He said.The president was shocked."This is very wrong, Jimmy. You are a student. Why do you still have to use thousands of pounds from your personal funds to organise the show after the outrageous amount you paid as school fees?
