Chapter 30Taranis was arrested. I tried to get up from bed.“No wait, what are you doing?” I protest, prying off the IV drip from my arm. It started bleeding almost immediately. I wince at the stabbing pain on my back which radiated throughout my abdomen. “It’s okay, Hazel. Stay in bed, please.” Taranis said calmly but there was a dark look in his eyes, something sinister. He looked back at me one last time and I was tempted to go to him but his eyes told me everything. It was reassuring, like he knew what he was doing and didn’t need me to intervene.
