Truce

Chapter 10 After I had processed what had happened. I tried holding Taranis’s arm, to keep him at bay but he leaned down closer towards Ezekiel, whispering something to him that I could not hear properly but managed to catch a few words, it was something about a fork in an eyeball. I could only assume he was threatening him with things he did not want me to hear. Ezekiel’s expression turned dull and grey, his eyes widening ever so slightly, it slowly turned to anger and dismay as he stood up and brushed his clothes off, leaving grimly. I dig my fingernails into my palm. “Thanks, I think I could have handled it but I appreciate your help.” I let him know awkwardly. I hadn’t expected him to intervene. Hell, I didn’t know that he was even aware of the fact that I was sitting behind him. It was strange but also strangely comforting. I think in that moment, my negative feelings about him took a turn for the positive and I wasn’t sure why I hated him in the first place. “Really? It se

Poisoned breakfast

Chapter 11I had a peaceful night’s sleep. It was like my body knew that I was going to be safe, that it was okay to relax and simply allow myself to recharge. It was unexpected but I was grateful for it. No more unnecessary stress. When I woke up. I was obviously late. Completely ready to bash Taranis for hoarding the bathroom and breaking my precious rules, I sit up in bed and rush to the bathroom. I was about to bang on it when the door opened. “I um-” I begin, not sure where I was going with this.“Didn’t expect me to get ready on time did you?” He put his towel over his shoulder as he shook his head a little to set his hair. He looked different. He looked very different. “You… dyed your hair?” I notice. He looked surprised, clearly not expecting me to notice it.“You can’t tell me it doesn’t look good.” He murmured as he fixed a few strands of hair in the mirror with a grin, he looked back at me, the smile still plastered on his face.My heart skipped a beat. Not fair. Rumours

Chapter 12 “Oh you know, just this and that.” She said slightly nervously, she must have caught on to the change in his aura.Taranis didn’t seem like he wanted to let it go. “And what exactly is this and that?”“Just that you’re good looking and a lot of girls here want to get with you.”He scoffed lightly, as if he didn’t believe her. Turning to me, he says. “Are you perhaps, one of those girls?” He was joking of course, but she didn’t seem to understand that intention. “What, Hazel? Oh she was completely disgusted with having a boy roommate, made me think she’s into girls instead haha.” She laughed excessively, her eyes continued fluttering. I raised my eyebrow, I had not expected her to say something like that, it definitely threw me off guard for a second. She thought I was into girls? Does it really seem like I like girls? I think about it. My hair is a typical wolf cut, I definitely do not get boy haircuts. What else? No makeup? I do wear large hoodies and loose pants, does

Chapter 13 I’m not sure how I ended up in this position. In fact, I was under the impression that Aria did not like Taranis at all, considering how she told me to be careful of him while counting all of his supposed sins. She had brought a friend along, a tall muscular blonde guy. Either she didn’t notice or is ignoring the fact that he is completely smitten with her. He was like a golden retriever puppy, fetching whatever she wanted him to get. She wanted a coffee? He would say, “Be right back, my queen!” and come running back with the coffee. Of course I might be exaggerating a little. I can’t help but admit that I was a little jealous of her skills. She makes friends easily, all guys are into her. My first impression of her was that she might be rude or snobbish because she’s tall and pretty, with a great figure. She wasn’t either of what I had expected her to be but.. How could I put it? It was a privilege, that’s the best I could say. I wasn’t exactly judging her for it. People

Chapter 14I waited and waited, asked 3 more girls who came into the bathroom but of course my luck would be this shitty that not a single girl has it. “Not one person? Not one!.” I complain as I clutch my stomach. This wasn’t good. My cramps were unusually painful today. As expected, not working out definitely gives me bad cramps. I hear a knock on the bathroom door outside. “Hazelnut?” I hear his familiar voice. He must have heard me through the door, was I that loud? “Everything good in there?”I sigh and pace around. I stop pacing immediately when I feel that it was increasing not only the cramps but also the flow. This is bad, at this rate I would have to change my pants if I’m too late. I decided to call Dani to see if she could bring me some pads. She didn’t pick the call. It was then that I checked my messages and saw that she had already left, she said her parents had come to visit so she was going back to the campus. Aria and Luke were still here so maybe I could call Ari

Party girl

Chapter 15I wake up, feeling exhausted and tired. I was not sure why, maybe it had something to do with the throbbing headache I had. Anyhow, I was grateful that today is Sunday. Yeah, I look around at my surroundings, as if I was searching for someone. My room was empty, which was exactly how I wanted it.Next to the bed on the table, there was the bottle and a jug of warm water. I could tell from the condensed particles on the glass, making it slightly foggy. Did he warm it up for me? I put the water in the glass and take my med. That's it, I’m going to start to work out from tomorrow, I can’t handle bad cramps. If I had gone home this weekend, dad definitely would have put me through a grilling training session for a few hours. I’m glad I didn’t go home yesterday.I eat some cereal and take a shower. There was a knock on the door. I get up and go open it. “Do you even know what time it is?” Aria complains. It was her and Dani, waiting outside with an impatient look on their fa

Don’t buy this chapter . It is not part of the story.

Don’t buy this chapter. This chapter is not part of the story. Buying it will be useless. So do not buy.It is simply to complete the word requirements of this month. So let’s see. Why did I decide to write this story? I wanted to visualise an ideal boyfriend. So far all the male characters I’ve written, I like them for sure but I never truly wrote a YES I want to marry this guy type of boyfriend. I’m wary of making him too perfect so I’m definitely trying to add faults in his character. After this story is complete I plan to write one called Warrior’s mage. I am actually very excited concerning both of these and I haven’t liked writing a story this much since The Mafia Prince. My least favourite story that I’ve written is Just a Bite. My favourite completed however, is probably demon king. I liked the pacing, the plot and the ending was reasonable. Don’t want to spoil it so I won’t say anything. I wrote just a bite when I was 15 so clearly it is not up to par in terms of grammar o

Let’s dance

Chapter 16I noticed the hand that took away the glass. It was covered in red abrasions and bruises, especially around his knuckles. As if he had just come back from punching someone. I didn’t dare comment on it. What would I even say? Besides, I think the alcohol was finally starting to kick in, or did his eyes have something to do with that, I wonder. I hadn’t eaten much before the party, I think that’s why the alcohol was starting to hit like a ton of bricks being thrown at me. I felt the urge to spout whatever nonsense that came into my mind without any filter, which I now realize is very dangerous.Very dangerous. I better keep quiet. I should. But I was just having way too much fun. The exhilaration. It felt like a huge weight was lifted off of my shoulders. I felt light.“Uh. Maybe 3 or 4?” He said honestly. I grab another shot and Taranis takes it away. AGAIN.“But whyyyyyyy.” I whine, drawling it out. He seemed surprised. “That’s enough. You’re drunk already.” He puts th

Memories are creeping

Chapter 17The good part was, I pretty much got disqualified from the game and we sat back watching the rest of it, except we weren’t actually watching it. Instead, there was this really thick tension between us and it felt like we were simply trying to avoid looking at each other the whole time. “So why did you-” I was going to ask him outright. I was bold today. “The next game started.” He points out. “Don’t you want to play?” He stuffs his hands in his pocket and heads over slowly, waiting for me to catch up. Damn it. I guess that’s that then. I follow him. “Beer pong!” I laugh. It seems like fun. Because it was a team game, I had to drink a few more shots whenever we lost. Taranis didn’t play, he simply watched. He seemed like he didn’t approve. I bit my lip excessively. What was with him? He was making me uncomfortable. He’s been like that since the moment he entered the bar. He was acting a bit different from his usual self. Less flirty and teasing, more distant and seri

Asphyxia

Chapter 18“You deserve to be here. You know it.” He took out the gag in my mouth and untied my wrists. I rub them together, it was painful and red. “I hurt you?” He took a good look at my hands. “It will heal, my sweetpea. Welcome home.” I took a good look around. I was here again, the cabin. I was sure I left it. I was sure I wouldn’t have to go through this hell again. How did I end up here ? “Sienna used to make me breakfast every morning.” He pointed out. “I- I’ll do it.” He pretends to be nice but he is actually psychotic, I have lived with him long enough to know that. I can’t make him angry. The scene shifted, blurred along its edges and folded in on itself. I felt like I was falling through a huge vortex and when I fell, I realised I had been pushed. He lowered himself on me to stop me from escaping and wrapped his hands around my throat. “Why? Are you trying to run? You can’t run away from me.” He shouted in my face, multiple droplets of spit sprinkled on me, I closed
