Lahat ng Kabanata ng Unexpected Future: Kabanata 31 - Kabanata 40

*Swathi Pov*“Water!” I heard the voice and immediately moved from my bed to fill the glass fuming inside with frustration.“Here!” I said, walking near the person who had just his hand in a cast, but have perfect legs, which he can’t use or just decided not to use.“Go ahead!” he said not even glancing at me, but typing something on his mobile with his good hand while keeping the device on his lap.I would love to go ahead and throw this on that phone which he can use with the hand, but not to hold the glass and drink. What am I doing by being at his beck and call during these few days while he is finding new ways to irritate me? I thought, frowning, but then shook my head.If I had not known the reason behind his behavior I would have dumped this water on his face but I know the reason. I never in my wildest imagination thought that one lie would be the result of someone to get hurt.Well, I earned this game of his and the hostility, but I would not become some meek person for a mis

*Nakul Pov*“Hey! Hungry?” she asked, walking into the room and I placed the files away fed up with reading them.“Yeah! How was the show?” I asked, looking at her smiling face.“It was the most amazing. I will go and change. We both will have our dinner because I am also feeling hungry.” Saying that she was about to walk out of the room but I called her back.“Shift all your things in this room.” I said the words as an order to which she stared at me for a few seconds before looking at the cupboard.“I still remember you shouting me to get out.” She mumbled and I flinched but shook it away immediately.“Well, there was supposedly exchange of brides and I was angry, hurt and so many things.” I said and she finally turned towards me with a smile.I sighed in relief realizing she was not upset, but then frowned when she suddenly chuckled. I raised my eyebrows questioning her reacting and she moved near to me.“I was not blaming you at all. That time I was stupid to keep my things here a

*James Pov*“James!” that’s all Grandma said while I continued to stare at the door through which Swathi just walked away.“You shouldn’t have brought Tina.” I mumbled, turning to stare at her only to see a hard expression.“You shouldn’t have hid the truth of your marriage.” She retorted and I sighed, knowing well I can never win with Grandma.“You heard what she said and I knew you wouldn’t accept for any divorce in our family name.” I explained but she just stood there.I ignored her glare and continued to repeat whatever words Swathi uttered before leaving from the house. Wishes fulfilled after two months? What the hell is she talking about?“Poor Tina! I have been talking about the marriage with you and now if she knows you are already married, then I don’t know how much devastated she will be.” Grandma’s dramatic words brought me out of my thoughts.“She is not poor Tina.” I rolled my eyes, making her move to smack me again but I stepped back.“You don’t have care for your wife

*Nakul Pov*“Nakul!” I finally came out of my thoughts to see Maheshwari looking at me with worried eyed and I tried to smile.I really did try, but I just couldn’t not understanding each of my Mom’s behavior stumbling in my head each head. It’s as if I didn’t open their bedroom door, but a door to my locked away memories.“Will you come to work today?” she asked with a hopeful tone and I shook my head in negative. After the fire memory, I continued my life, but each memory is making me stumble back and I did a big mess out of an important deal making us lose it.“It will be good if I don’t come for a few more days until I settle myself.” I gave the same excuse and she sighed nodding.Oh god! I am vexing her with my attitude and everything. I was supposed to make her too happy and here I am sulking.I moved myself to assure her and promise that everything will be fine, but if suddenly felt like I don’t have any energy left within me.“Just remember that I love you.” Saying that she wa

*Maheshwari Pov*I took a sip from the coffee and closed my eyes, feeling an inch of relief which I know will wash away after finishing this and facing the future. Why? I thought, frowning still not understanding his behavior. I would have thought he would question me or even show anger, maybe even hurt yesterday. But all he did was tucking me in his arms and caressed my scalp while not giving me a chance to say anything. I still remember how many times I opened my mouth to talk to him. However, each single time he could just hug me more tightly and make a sound to maintain silence. Why? I thought again and turned around opening my eyes before pouring the liquid in the basin.“Coffee was not good?” I gasped and turned around to see him walking into the kitchen with a blank face which he held on to from yesterday.“Do you want some?” I asked, suddenly feeling awkward and that was more painful than the confusion I had in my head.“Sure!” saying that he looked around but not at me before
