Danika’s POV.-“What? Don’t just stand there and give me that look,” I say sternly with a hairband clutched between my teeth as I stare at Charles standing across the island counter. He looks at me with bewilderment, lovely blue eyes with astonishment, and I huff and avert my eyes.Suddenly, he’s leaning forward with his hands flattening over the countertop to pass in alarm across to me, “Are you crazy? Danika's POV.-"I will never desert you, and neither do I hate you, Danika."We remain in this position for several minutes, with Charles comforting and reassuring me, and me relieving the burden in my chest and relishing in the comforting warmth of my mate. That's until Liam's cry forces us apart. We separate abruptly. Charles clears his throat and keeps his face away while pretending to adjust his ashen Blazer. I flush simply and turn around, hastening to go attend to my baby boy. Done breastfeeding Liam, he shows me a gummy smile as I walk out of the bedroom and back into the living room. I pull his chubby cheek tenderly as I tease, "You don't miss your sisters, do you?
