Vyin’s POV - The beeping of the digital alarm I placed next to my head, rouses me up with a defiant groan. Yawning, my body turns with caution, aware of the limited space I’m lying on. As my heavy lids begin to slowly disconnect from each other, a dim light simultaneously begins to grow in brightness until I’m temporarily blinded by the line of sunlight filtering through the curtains. ‘Ugh, stings’ I hiss with a grunt, averting my eyes and shutting them as I lift my body gradually to sit up. “How long was I out for?” Asking as soon as the sole of my shoes are touching the floor and the tips of my fingers massaging over my eyelids. “Four hours, boss” A reply flies my way and I hum disconsolately, “That’s longer than usual”.
