"We're here",Serena said and stopped walking. She turned around the dark span of endless land. The cave went on for miles and Xavier had begun to wonder when they would get to the ending. "Oh no",Serena whispered. "We've been gone for too long".The scene that met their eyes when they emerged from the ocean was devastating. Red City was in ruins. Houses were on fire. Enormous orange flames roared to the sky, licking up the buildings. Black tree trunks, burnt beyond recognition littered the grounds and the air was thick with smoke and flying ashes. Kendrick placed Serena gently on his bed and drew the thick covers up to her chest. He walked back to the door and shut it, turning the key and locking it. He didn't need any disturbance. He made his way to another door that was adjacent to the bed and opened it. There was a mini bathroom and a closet within it. He took out a black shirt and black pants and put them on. Then he brought out a big white box from the closet and shut the door again. He walked back to the bedside and placed the box on the table beside the bed. He worked in complete silence. It was a first aid box and it was mainly used to treat the severe wounds of the prisoners he tortured. The reason why he treated their wounds was to keep them alive for further questioning. He brought out a white bottle and some wool. A white satchel followed and some kind of white powdery stuff. Moving closer to Serena, he first dabbed the wool with the liquid from the bottle. "Jack",Kendrick called in a serious voice. "Take the remaining lycans and form a border around the perimeter. Make sure you all stay within the barrier protecting it.
