Time seemed to have gone to a standstill for Carl, as he remained in his position, unmoving. Even as the policeman advanced cautiously toward him, he never for once turned back to stare at him. The voice of the policeman, who seemed a bit frightened of him, boomed in his ears. “Move and I shoot!” he warned as his threats flowed out in stutters, which was proof of how frightened he was. For the next couple of weeks, Madison began to notice that Carl was acting strange. Sitting in a large office with a smile on his face as he stared lazily at the piles of work on the desk before him, Chase picked a cigar stick and lighted it, putting it between his lips. Soon, the room reeked of cigarette smoke and a cloud mist of smoke enveloped the room. In the Allen’s mansion, two people could be seen in the large living room as they both looked concerned about Madison’s whereabouts.Mr. Allen cursed as he couldn’t reach his daughter on her landline and frustration etched on his face. Even though he knew she had someone to protect her, he couldn’t help but have a bad premonition in his heart that something was wrong. “Is she going to be alright?” His wife asked with a look of concern and anxiety. Mr. Allen did not reply but paced up and down the living room. However, his phone soon began to ring. Looking at it, he had expected it to be his daughter but it was an unknown number.His heart began to race as he stared at the unknown number on his phone.
