I knew that this was no joking matter. I knew that someone obviously had it in for me but I don't know what the hell I ever did to vampires to make me a target. " I'm putting a full time guard detail on you." Asher demanded. " I wasn't expecting anything less. 4 shifts of 6 hours. That's all. You're not making warriors watch me for 12 hours at a time or anything." I insisted. " Alright. 6 hour shifts. Around the clock. I'm gonna go and work out a schedule." Asher says. And I followed him up the stairs and inside to the office where he started making up the shifts for my guard detail and I was working at the desk trying to finish the paperwork. Asher was the first one to move and he walked over to the couch and picked up the envelope. He pulled out a sketch of us both asleep in bed together with my head on Asher's chest and I tell him to turn it over. There was a note on the back of it. What a perfect looking couple. " Did you see anyone in the hall last night? Was there anyone at all?" Asher asked. " No sir. I didn't see anyone after you came in here last night." Caleb answered. And I tured to look at the window. " Asher." I say and he looks at the window. So Asher walked over to the window and looked outside. " How the f**k did he still manage to get in here?" Asher growled. 'Freya. Where are you?' I mindlinked. 'Downstairs. Don't worry. Connor is fine. He is throwing food at Beau and Cole. He's having a blast.' She laughed.

Asher had my guard take me back to the packhouse and I was in shock the whole way there. The guard actually had to grab me to stop me from falling a couple of times. I wasn't watching what I was doing. I went upstairs to my room and I sat on the bed and all I could think about was that if Jack hadn't come to warn us about Wyatt then he would still be alive. I know that Jack came on his own, no one forced him to come and see us, but he still did. He gave us the name that we needed to find out who was attacking us and he paid with his life. I couldn't help but feel somewhat responsible. And it made me wonder how the hell Wyatt knew that he was the one that told us. Was he watching us. Did he have people outside the boarder watching our pack at all times. He had to have. Otherwise there's no way he would have known that Jack was here.
