"What could be happening?" Sophie moaned. She was just getting ready to sleep but she couldn't, as noises and groans kept coming from all sides.It was definitely some of her father's unruly soldiers. She wanted to speak sense in to those unreasonable soldiers.She heard snapping of necks before she could get to the door of her room. "What?!" she exclaimed. She had to alert her father that his soldiers had gone mad. She tiptoed to the throne room. There was no one there. She could still hear groaning and fighting noises coming from all sides.It had now become obvious to her. There was a war going on in their house. "There is a man out there, waiting to see you. He won't say anything unless unless you are there" David narrated, anger was audible in his voice. The said person seemed to have provoked him in some ways"Who is he?" Alpha Jones asked slowly. He was not expecting anyone and the Mage did not foresee any visitor."I have no idea, Alpha" David replied curtly and headed back out.Alpha Jones followed him to the throne room. He saw Matt, standing gallantly with his chest rising high everytime he breathed in. He was a man that seemed to have gone through a lot."Alpha Nemesis?" Matt gasped."That is not his name" David voiced out angrily."I'm Alpha Jones" Alpha Jones waved at David to calm him down. Alpha Jones walked in hurriedly. He was unsettled. He felt bad a bit about the decision he made but that was the right thing to do, he consoled himself. Sophie shouldn't be left with her wolf. She was dangerous and she would just be like her father. But the Moon Goddess was just a poor matchmaker, to have made someone like her his mate. Alpha Jones had vowed never to take any mate. Even if she was the best in all ramifications. To him, love was a weakness and a tendency to make bad decisions. It would distort judgement. And that wouldn't be good for the cause he had chosen to fight for. If he dwelled in love, he might become one of those he used to fight against. That was always his thoughts. Luckily, he had never ran into any mate until Sophie. He was certain she was the one. The expulsion of her wolf made Gate, his wolf writhed in pain but he would survive it. They would survive it. It was David, carrying a bag covered with dirt. It looked wet and heavy.The smiles on David's face was ironic to the bag in his hand.
