Storms POV The day was lovely. Not too hot and not too cold. I could feel the air rushing through my hair giving me new life. The boys giggled in their stroller at the birds, bees, butterflies that they saw. Just as soon as I felt at peace I heard footsteps coming quickly. My whole body tensed ready to attack but then I felt Jared’s presence. “What are you doing out here?” I wondered surprised. “I wanted to spend time with my family. With everything going on I’ve neglected it for far too long.” He then wrapped me up in his arms and buried his nose in my hair as he took a deep breath in. I felt not just mine but his tension as well leave our bodies. He let me out of his embrace and held my hand and together we pushed the stroller through the trails talking about when we were growing up, old friends, all the things we should have done so long ago but we got caught up in a whirlwind of chaos. As we ended our walk and made it back to the pack house I rested my head on Jared’s bicep.
