Scarlet POV Forcing my eyes to open was the hardest thing I could have possibly ever done. Come on, Scarlet, wake up! I need to get up! Blinking a few more times, I assessed my surroundings. The metal cot I was on was old, dirty and stained. No sheets on the mattress but definitely mice poop. The only sore of light was a window that let in the moonlight.  I tried to sit up and was instantly met with searing pain. Pain down my back, head and chest. It took the breath right out of me. Laying there for a few minutes to get the courage to try again, I thought about all the stuff he will do to me if I don’t move. That encouraged me enough to swing my legs off to the side and sit up. Another few minutes before I could even stand. The world spun a few times and I had to reach out to hold on to the wall until everything became still again. 

Scarlet POV It has been three whole weeks since I was kidnapped. So much has changed in my life. I can’t help but wonder if I made the right choice.  Flash back “What if I don’t want to?” I had asked Jaxson. It wasn’t that I didn’t want to finish the mating process but I didn’t want to do it because he was forced to do it. I wanted it to happen when the time was right. I still felt like he was doing it out of a sense of duty, not because he actually cared for me. “What do you mean?” He had asked me. I hurt him by asking that. “I don’t want Jared and I am happy to get him out of me but I am not going to finish the mating process because it is your job. I am not a job that you need to get done in a timely manner.”&nbs

Scarlet POV The smell of ammonia and rubbing alcohol are becoming too familiar. Opening my eyes, I saw the similar furnishings of a typical hospital. This must not be a pack hospital but one regardless. My lower back was a dull throbbing pain but tolerable. I have had worse. Thinking back to what happened, I remember Jaxson reminding me how good I felt with his fingers inside me and then white hot pain on my side. Then Jaxson got me to the car and told me how sorry he was. I will never forget that. He was so raw and his emotions were so strong. He let me lean on him and he took it upon himself to take care of me.  The door opened and a nurse walked in. “Oh, you are awake!” she said, pleasantly. “That will make the men outside happy. Let me tell you girl, those two men are fine as I have ever seen, no offense dear. They each care a lot about you.” 

Scarlet POV “I think that is a good idea.” Jaxson said as we pulled up to his packhouse. My nerves got the best of me as I looked at the house. No one was standing outside or anything but his sister was inside and I have never met her before. It is one thing to meet someone as an equal, an Alpha Female but I am meeting her like my mate’s family. Meeting your in-laws, if you will. This was a whole new level.  I must have taken too long to get out because Jaxson came around and opened my door for me. Scarlet POV   I am feeling great. Healing this time has been so much quicker. I refuse to say it is because I am closer to Jaxson, physically. We have slept beside each other the last few nights and it has been the best sleep of my life. It has taken everything I have in me to not roll over and straddle him. Not sure how many more times I can sing a song in my head to keep myself from getting aroused, thus letting him know.  These cucumbers on my eyes smell good as my stomach rumbles. “I am starving!” We have been getting pampered all day. Jennifer has quickly become a good friend to me. I haven’t really confided in her about everything but I did about Courtney and how worried I was. She bugged Jaxson for me so I got a little information but Jaxson told her I needed to heal first and then he would give me an update. Jerk.
