Rosalind"Rosalind...it's too late."I let out the breath that I didn't even know I was holding when he uttered those words. Late? It's too late? What does he mean by that?"What do you mean, dad?" I asked. He looked down at his table and once again removed his reading glasses. He placed his hands on the table and looked me deep in the eyes. "Don't you think it's too late that you're telling me all of this?""I'm still not following what you're saying, dad.""The coronation is already tomorrow, Rosalind. All of the preparations have been finished, and Desdemona worked really hard for this."My eyebrows furrowed. "Are you saying that the coronation is going to push through? Just because Desdemona worked really hard on it?""We don't have any other choice, Rosalind. Like I told you, the preparations have already been done. The people are expecting a new queen, and we cannot keep them waiting."I scoffed

The day that I dreaded the most finally came. I have been praying in my mind for the last couple of hours for this day to never come. However, life wasn’t like that. Time wasn't going to adjust for one person. And it definitely wouldn't adjust just for me. Time progressed normally, and it was now two hours until the coronation ceremony.I honestly didn’t want to get up from bed and witness what is about to happen, but Axel has been convincing me nonstop that we should go. “Rosalind. We have to be there.”I groaned and covered myself with the duvet. He went closer to me and uncovered my face. He knelt down to the level of the bed and started stroking my hair. “Get up, baby. We have to be at the event hall in an hour and a half.”I turned away from him. “Do we really have to go? It’s not like we have a role in the coronation or something. We’re literally just

The ceremony was about to start,  but I still didn't get the chance to talk to my father. I already looked for him everywhere but I didn't see a trace of him. It's like he disappeared into thin air. I was fidgeting in my spot while Axel tried his very best to comfort me. “Calm down, baby,” he whispered into my ear. Butterflies erupted in my stomach as I heard him call me 'baby,' but they were quickly replaced with nervousness as I realized that I still wasn't able to talk to my dad. I wandered my eyes around to once again find my dad, but to no avail. “Where is he?” I was about to start biting on my nails, but Axel gently held my hand and brought it down.“The ceremony hasn’t started yet. I’m sure that he’ll be here just before it starts.” Just then, the Masters of Ceremony started speaking into the mic, signaling the near start of the coronation.

RosalindBodies.Bodies sprawled out on the ground.Blood.Blood spattered everywhere.I had expected this—for chaos to break out, but it still did not take away the shock that I felt when I saw my father drop to the ground.I turned to Axel with a proud smile on his face. I saw that he was already looking at me with a wide smile. So this was the plan, huh? I smirked in delight as the blood splattered on my legs—Logan’s blood. My father tried getting up from the ground, but Sebastian held him still. The reason why the two of them fell to the ground was that when the gunshots sounded, Sebastian ran to where my father was and pushed him down to the ground. “Fuck!” Logan screamed as his blood flowed out of the wound. Venice shrieked as she saw Logan bleeding on the ground. He was shot in his shoulder and appeared to be in pain. Desdemona, on the other

Rosalind I fell down on the ground, face first.  I felt a heavyweight on top of me, making me groan in pain.  Blood started seeping into my clothes as the weight pressed down on my body.  I scrambled to get away from it, using my arms to escape the suffocating weight.  Axel held out his hand for me, so I took it, and he helped me stand up.  I looked down at my black dress and saw a suspicious liquid running through it. I touched it with my fingers and confirmed that it is indeed blood.  Just a few moments ago, when Desdemona fired the gun straight at my head, only a click was heard—signifying that it had already run out of bullets.  She has been firing her bullets left to right without any inhibitions all throughout the event, so it ran out before she could even kill me.  However, to my surprise, when she tried to load the gun once again, a gunshot was heard all around the

Rosalind"Dad?" He smiled, although it didn't reach his eyes. "Hey, Rosalind!" he greeted in an awkward manner."What are you doing here, dad?" I asked in a much gentler voice than usual since I didn't want to scare him away. "Can we talk?" "Who is it, Rosalind?" I heard Axel's voice coming near us. "If it's Sebastian, then just tell him to go away so we can continue what we were doing—"Axel paused when he saw who was standing in front of the door.I glared at him and clicked my tongue. He smiled sheepishly while scratching the back of his neck.I kept my glare on him. I'm definitely going to scold him later. I held the door wider and gestured for my dad to come in. "Come in, dad. Let's talk."Axel moved away from the door so that my father could comfortably come in. "Thanks," my dad muttered under his breath as he went inside my room.&nb

Rosalind Today was the day of the coronation.  It felt like I had been waiting for this moment for my entire life, but I was still feeling more nervous than ever. Axel and I had already finished dressing up, and we were just waiting for the bells to ring before coming down.  I shook my hands to get rid of the nervousness that I was feeling.  Axel chuckled, looking at me while he was leisurely sitting down on the bed.  I looked at him incredulously. "Aren't you the tiniest bit nervous?" He chuckled once again and shook his head. "Today's a happy day, baby. What's there to be nervous about?" I clicked my tongue. "I really do wish that I have your courage." He stood up from the bed and walked over to where I was. He wrapped his arms around my waist and rested his chin against my shoulder.  "Don't worry, baby. We balance each other well." I giggled and caressed his hair. "You

Sp. Chapter 1: How Axel Fell in Love with Rosalind

A compilation of Axel's mini-panics whenever Rosalind is around.  Chapter 24-25: The Bloom Festival Axel We were now seated inside the venue, just waiting for the flower to bloom.  The place was jampacked, but we were lucky enough to meet Mr. Lee, who gave us a pretty exclusive spot. We also had a great view of the flower from where we were sitting.  Rosalind was sitting beside me, and after having a short conversation about lives, she suddenly became quiet.  I glanced towards her and saw her biting her lip and bouncing her leg as if nervous about something.  Unknowingly, I started to smile while looking at her.  When I realized what I was doing, I swiftly looked away from her and scratched the back of my head.  Fuck. What the hell is this that I've been feeling? To be honest, I've been feeling like this for the last couple of days. For some reason, Rosalind just seemed

MATURE CONTENT AHEAD If you are a minor or if you are not comfortable with this type of content, please skip this chapter.      Third Person's Point of View As Rosalind entered the bathroom, steam paired with the sound of the rushing water engulfed the air. She felt a flutter of nerves as she realized that it was only a thin shower curtain that separated her from her mate.  Actually, no. It was not nerves. She wasn't nervous because she, herself, had been waiting for this moment. It has been too long since they've been intimate with each other, and she misses the touch of her mate like no other.  Rather than nerves, it was probably excitement? Anticipation? Or maybe even longing?  Whatever it was, it made her heart beat out of her chest, almost being louder than the sound of the water rushing.  For so

You have reached the second part of the book. It will dive into the life story of Alpha Cupid and his love interest, Gillian. Axel and Rosalind will also pop up in the story from time to time. Happy reading!***CupidThe blaring sounds of the alarm clock woke me up. I groaned in pain as I reached toward the bedside table for my phone to turn the alarm off. Fuck, my head is hurting. A night full of partying would surely be much more fun if it didn't come with hangovers. I looked at the phone with squinted eyes and let out a sigh of frustration when I realized that I had to be at work today. Today was Monday. My least favorite day of the week, similar to the majority of people. Monday means that I had to go back to my dreaded work and finish unending tasks. As I closed my eyes and prayed for time to move slowly, I felt a cold arm slide over my abdomen, and that's when I realized that I wasn't alone in the r
