30~ Vision

“Ariana.” Someone was calling me. It was a female. The voice was so soothing and I couldn’t help but smile to myself. “Ariana, child wake up.” My eyes flew open. I knew that voice. “Mama?” I called out, my heart racing as I looked around but I saw nothing. Where was she? “Baby girl… you can’t see me. I’m not really here. I just begged to talk to you briefly when I saw your spirit trying to cross over.” My mother said and tears streamed down my face. I wish I could see her. “I miss you mama.” My voice croaked. “I know my love. I miss you too. Ariana, don’t give up. You will understand everything once you read the letter, you’ve found him sweetheart. Your soulmate, he’s on his way to you. Now wake up… read my letter and destroy the darkness that looms in the Kim family…..” “What? Mama? I don’t understand!” I screamed out, panicking when her voice faded towards the end. “I love you….” Her voice echoed in my head and I ran around, calling out to her desperately. I was suddenl

31~ Mine

Lewis I rushed to the airport with Tyson. Ariana's phone was found in the restroom. I wanted to see if we could get more information or ask around if they saw anything. "I pulled some strings. We can get the list of people who had actually boarded the plane and their profiles too." Tyson said as we entered the building and I gave a curt nod. I would do anything to find her and I just hope I'm not too late. We went to the office of an officer and I showed him Ariana's picture. "Can you scan this face and see if the person boarded the plane a week ago?" It was rude to just go straight to the point but Tyson had already talked to him prior. We didn't have time for pleasantries. "Um… sure sir." The man said and began to work. I paced around the room anxiously. It would be my fault if anything happened to her. I should have searched for her. Guilt welled up in me as I thought about my mate. After about 30 minutes, the man was done and he shook his head. "No Sir… our system can't

32~ Body Massage

Ariana I was officially dick-whipped. If there was such a term. Heck, Lewis and I hadn't reached the last phase of our relationship yet but a single word from him would make me melt in his arms. I couldn't stay mad at him. I kind of understood why he kept it a secret. Who would believe someone who just went up to them and claimed to be a werewolf? If Jace didn't freak me out in advance, I would have probably lost my mind seeing Lewis shift from a wolf to a human. I couldn't believe Jace is a werewolf. He didn't look like one. I mean, look at Lewis. That man was smoking! His beauty was otherworldly… his blue eyes were like two deep pools, I could drown in them willingly. Hot water poured on me as I took a shower, washing off the blood on my body. We had returned to our home an hour ago. Lewis wanted to help me bath but I declined, I needed time alone to think. Everything that happened in the past week had drained the life out of me. I sighed, wondering when Jace and the crazy witch

33~ Loved before

Lewis I could hear her heart racing. She was afraid I would lie to her again. But I wouldn't… I stuttered because I didn't know how to say it. For the first time in my life, I regretted living a carefree life. I should have been loyal to the mate bond and waited for my mate. It's different for Ariana because she didn't know that her soulmate existed. Tightening my arms around her, I placed my chin on her head. "I didn't know I had a mate here baby." I said. "Then you just came to work in the company?" "No. I left my pack temporarily so I could move on… I thought I loved someone but it was just infatuation." I said truthfully and I heard her heart skip a beat. Silence followed after I said that, only the sound from the TV and our hearts beating in sync could be heard. Please say something my love. "Did you love her very much? Who is she?" Ariana asked in a low voice. I honestly didn't know how to answer the first question. Did I really love Zoe? "I thought I did… but whe

34~ The only one for me

The few seconds that it took Lewis to answer were the most painful seconds of my life. I dreaded his answer. What if he said no? What would I do? I had never felt this nervous before, not even when I was writing my first exam. Lewis sighed and pulled me into his arms, holding me in place when I tried to wriggle free. “Don’t move and listen.” I stayed still, letting his warmth and the sparks calm me down. “I won’t lie to you that I would have loved you at first sight. But after getting to know you… your wonderful personality. You’re kind, hardworking and compassionate. I would have fallen for you even without the mate bond. So please don’t have such thoughts about us. If the bond was taken away from us today, I would still feel the same about you.” I nodded, not knowing what to say. Did I overreact? My thoughts were interrupted when Lewis curled his finger under my chin and tilted my head up. He leaned down and kissed me gently, pouring his love into it and I felt it. It was real.

35~ Support

Lewis The hatred rolling off Ariana’s aunt was worrying. My stomach turned when she told me to stay away from Ariana. I almost growled and pulled my mate into my arms possessively but I held myself back as I watched Judy pulling her into the house. Ariana motioned for me to wait outside with her eyes just as her aunt banged the door in my face. Fuck… it was like a punch in the face. I never knew I would encounter family drama when trying to claim my mate. I was learning a lot in the human town. Just because you love someone doesn’t mean she’s yours automatically. You need to make effort and looking at my situation… making her family accept you too was a given. A contrast to the werewolf ways. As long as you’re fated mates, your families had no choice but to accept whether they like it or not. I wasn’t complaining though. I would humbly beg mama bear to accept me as Ariana’s mate if I had to. Their voices reached my ears as I stood on the porch... Still a bit taken aback by the tur

36~ Dark room

Unknown pov "Lora has disappeared, Alpha." The young delta who had just taken over from his late father reported. His body was trembling in fright and he was sweating profusely. Great. He should be scared. Because I was about to rip his heart out for being incompetent. Just like I did to his father weeks ago when he tried to tell me how to lead my pack. Fools. All of them were a bunch of incompetent fools. Why can't anyone do a proper job? One girl… They failed to capture just one weak girl who knows nothing about her powers yet. "And Alistair?" I thundered.. my voice hoarse. "H-he d-disappeared too Alpha-" a loud growl reverberated from my chest as black fur began to sprout on my hands. They were itching to grab someone's pounding heart and squeeze the life out of it. My eyes landed on the omega who was bringing in refreshments. Anger and rage welled up inside me… I was in front of her in a flash, plunging my clawed hand into her chest and ripping her heart out. A loud growl

37~ Winning her over

Ariana I smiled to myself watching Lewis as he chopped big logs of wood into small pieces for my aunt’s chimney. He was shirtless with only a pair of black shorts on. His muscles flexed as sweat trickled down his chiseled chest. I licked my lips, clamping my legs together. He was yummy, all right. One of a kind. “You like what I’m doing babe?” Lewis suddenly asked after chopping one log into half. He placed the axe on his shoulder and stared at me, his eyes flashing silver. “I can smell you. You’re getting excited.” I gasped, crossing my legs so that my arousal wouldn’t seep out. Heat crept up my face at being caught. Gosh, I had forgotten he had a wolfy nose. Lewis chuckled and returned to what he was doing. We had decided to stay back at my aunt’s place for a few days. I thought she would easily warm up to Lewis but just after that talk, she had returned to being hostile to him. I suggested to Lewis for him to try and win her over and he agreed without hesitation. If I wasn’t

38~ I was wrong

Lewis I was looking for something else to do in the backyard when I felt Ariana’s restlessness. We may not be marked, but since the bond was growing stronger, I could feel her emotions to some extent. My heart began to race, wondering what could have gone wrong. Was Judy still adamant about asking her to break up with me? A low growl escaped my lips. Ariana is mine and no one can separate us. Suddenly I felt Ariana’s feelings change to that of fear and my stomach twisted. Then I heard her scream of despair. “Lewis!” I ran inside the house at full speed. A strange scent hit my nostrils, making me growl. Wesley perked up, ready to pounce at the threat when I reached the bedroom and kicked the door down. The scene made me see red as a menacing growl reverberated from my chest. I leaped towards the intruder who was holding my mate when a glint made me stop in my tracks. The fucker had a knife and he had pressed it into Ariana’s neck, drawing a little blood. “Stay back…” He hissed
