Different Kind of Beautiful

Odessa The mattress on the floor was softer than my bed, where I lived with Dad. The fluffy blankets covered my entire body, and at one point in the night, I burrowed deeper into the duvet. The cold air rushed around my head when I felt the blankets thrown off unceremoniously. Fluttering my eyes open, I was greeted with Creed with his brows high and breath ragged. Did he just run a mile? I squealed, pulling the blankets back down. I was still naked under here and didn't need to flash him so early in the morning. "I'm still here! I was in the blanket!" Was he scared I ran away? I wouldn't get very far; I managed to climb up the tree, but getting down was a different story. Creed sighed, rolling back on the floor. The bed I was in was only a few inches off the ground from where he lay; he was so close throughout the night I could almost feel his breath in my face. Not that I minded, I slept bette

Odessa I screamed. I shouted rather loudly, causing Fluffy and Creed to look at me with uneasiness. Creed ran over to me, covered in blood spatter from the cute animal. I should have seen it coming; I mean, he clicked his tongue, and Fluffy went and caught dinner. My breathing was ragged, but I waved my hand in the air. "I'm fine, really; I wasn't expecting it." Part of me was, but I let it go. Creed looked back over to the animal; the head was lying in a bucket while the blood drained. I've seen a lot of blood in my time in this land, but not so much as this. It flowed heavily into the bucket while I looked away. Fluffy was utterly troubled; he hopped up on the bed, despite Creed growling at him putting his head in my lap. Covering my mouth, concentrating on Fluffy, Creed sighed and continued to empty the remnants of the animal. "It had such pretty fur, I thought you were going to keep it as a pet." His lip curled, starting to strip the anima

Cuddles

Creed   It had been three days since I had put Odessa in her own area of the cave for sleep. I imagined she spent many nights in front of other humans and vampires watching her every move. I prepared a room meant for storage, just extra furs, baskets, and dried meats to get me through the winter months. Odessa slept contently in my nest our first day back and gave me plenty of time to surprise her.   As much as I wanted to keep her in my nest, this would be for the best for her. Eventually, I hope to get her into mine more permanently.   The back cave dwelling was dark, but the fire area I had created would keep her warm through the night. My dragon disagreed with me, wanting to keep her in our own nest. Having her so close the night in the treehouse gave him rest; he purred contentedly, watching her eyes close gently. Odessa's soft features nestled into the cloud-like pillow, her hair scattered about her face. My finger

CreedOdessa continued to sleep; I lay in waiting. Her breaths came in steadily; her eyelashes twitched as her sleep’s cycles shifted. Laying here for hours, feeling parts of my body go numb, was but little suffering I endured while holding her. My dragon lulled her back to sleep with the deep rumbling within my body every shift in movement. Odessa griped my vest tightly each time her body turned restless, the would rumbling began and she would sighed lulling her back to sleep. My rough fingers trailed her cheeks, her pouty dry lips, and back into her hair. Her hair was fanned entirely out onto the furs. Her smell had seeped into the deepest part of my nest. The citrus and now lilac scent radiating off her gave me deep pleasure. For once, my dragon was sated. No rage had built in my gut; no need to shift to let the beast take control for the day.It had been many days since I had shifted; my dragon spirit was old and needed his time to

Odessa   “We will leave it right here!” I took two large pins, attached thicker pieces of leather to make clothes, and pinned the row of letters next to the table. Once you look up from the table, it sits nicely on the cave wall. I smiled. It was the first thing I was proud of since entering this dank world. Soon I could read Creed’s writing and have more of a conversation with him rather than me talking one-sidedly. It only took Creed a few hours to go through every letter, listening make the sound. He listened contentedly, one hand on my leg as he watched me move my lips.   Fluffy nuzzled my leg; now that I had been with him several days, his face was less scary than when I first met him. His little mushroom type of nose was dark, damp, and warm. He laid his head right in my lap, and I petted the unruly hair between his eyes. “What is this animal?” I wondered aloud. There are so many animals here that I do not know w

Stay

OdessaI stood by the fire, still wrapped in the furs. There was no scuffle coming from the outside, which made me worry more, until I heard grunting and a loud slap. My eyes widened when Creed strode in with his mighty gate and his beefy arms, holding up a large animal. It was plump, hairy, and had tusks coming out of its mouth. The snout gave it away. A boar or wild pig thingy. Finally, eating something that wasn’t just red meat, I now had something else, pork! I clapped my hands as he threw the meat on his now new table he had made with his bare hands while I napped. Creed was very resourceful. He made his own tools, made furniture and everything in this cave all to help me feel more welcome, welcome for two people instead of his lonely one.He had tightly wrapped the boar between its legs, a long rope had drug on the floor. Large gash to the head was the final culprit of death that now covered Creed with blood.“Aw, you need a bath a

His Dragon

CreedI woke up early. My dragon was restless for the plans I had with Odessa today. I would travel tomorrow and who knows what Adam had in store for me or how long I would be gone? Was it just a meeting to talk about my downfalls of the tribe? How much of a failure I was to protect our family? It has happened before, these little talks, and it would not be the last.My dragon let smoke blow through my nostrils, waving it away the white smoke, I prepared the last bit of my surprise. Odessa gave me the ultimate gift last night, wanting to stay in my cave. She didn’t say for how long or if she planned to stay forever, but she was staying. I had more time with her for her to heal, not just her outward scars, but her internal ones.Odessa stirred in the furs, her little moans, stretching her body was doing something to me. My body reacted to her in ways I didn’t fully understand. Never spending time with the opposite sex, besides A

Their First

OdessaMy legs gripped tightly between the dragon’s neck and shoulders, my arms wrapped around the base until he stood up at full height. I had never flown in a plane or been in a hot-air balloon, but surely it can’t be that different, right?I was wrong, so wrong. His leathery wings behind me moved up and down gracefully, pushing the air between him and the ground. Within a few thrusts of his wings, we were in the air as if we didn’t weigh a thing.Oh, and I screamed. I screamed a lot. My grip became enduringly tighter, vibrations filled where my body was latched. A wave of calmness filled my body with those vibrations. This was Creed and his dragon. Creed was in there too, and he would never let me fall. Soon my screams calmed down, noticing we had barely left the ground. We hovered a few more seconds until finally he climbed into the sky.The air was warmer here in the grasses at the base of the mountains

Mortus

Duke MortusThree days prior.“Where is he?” I tapped my black fingernail against the edge of my wooden chair. The padding had almost worn down to the wood. Two female servants stared at me with their beady red eyes wearing the sluttiest maid uniforms I had ever seen.I turned my nose up at them both as they kneeled before me in my study. The books were worn, smelling of old leather and the mothballs that sat behind the bookshelves. Documents ranging from vampire history back thousands of years to the recent events of humans being allowed into the Bergarian world. I was the Duke of the house Morealus, 15 times great, of one of the first original vampires in existence. Morealus was his name, and I take that name with pride. It is I who is to carry on his bloodline. My head leaned back, sighing with disgust. Their breasts heaved, fluttering with death was their calling and I was just about to give it. “Answe

Alpha Adam

CreedOdessa’s lips were so soft. Everything about her was delicate. I didn’t want to hurt her, not my Fawn. My beast couldn’t stomach that. I kept my hands from gripping her too harshly, but her movements, the way her hands tickled my neck, weaved into my hair, had me wanting more. So much more.Odessa granted me the ultimate gift, by kissing her like mates do. Does this mean she wanted more, too? My hands traced up her back. We were back at the cave, laying in each other’s arms. Every moment I wanted my lips on hers, she was my additional element of life, such as water and air. Odessa had to breathe, so sometimes I would trace my lips on her cheeks, her jaw and down her neck. Her sighs roused my desire for her, but she had not granted me anything more just yet.Her fingers gripped into my rough shoulders, holding on as my hand pulled her lower back into my body. One of my arms had completely gone to sleep, but I w
