        "Jeez!" I screamed at the sight in front of me, a tall man was standing right beside my bed with his hands tucked in his back pants. His face held no emotions as the familiar emerald eyes poked my skin.           "You startled me" I protested with my hands on my chest as my heart raced fast.           "You're awake" he said, not minding what I had said earlier on.       "Meet me in my room immediately " he ordered after sucking his teeth then he walked out of the room as my brows cringed in confusion at his attitude.        I massaged my temples, trying to relieve myself of the throbbing ache I was feeling in there before the memories from last night flashed through my mind and I bur

  "And you think he would fulfill his part of the promise to you?" He asked, feeling irritated.   "I guess so, he left you alone immediately so I guess he would never lay a finger on you" I said and bit my lips when I realized I sounded like I was defending Alaric.      "Of course!" He scoffed before angrily storming out of the room and I sighed. I hated this type of relationship between us and I just want things to be right, I wish things were to be right.     I was sincerely tired of the constant back and forth that always happened between us, there was never a day with a fight and what bothers me most was knowing full well that he had headed towards Tala's room.     I tried to pretend it

    "Why the fuck is she not cuffed?" Alaric's voice roared in anger as we both turned to look at the annoyed lycan standing beside the door with his hands fisted into a ball.   "I'm sorry I.. "   "You fucking what? You couldn't follow a simple command and chose to disobey me. I hope you know full well what the consequences for your actions are!" Alaric interrupted Jenny as she was trying to give him some explanations.     "Get out of my sight!" He roared at her, causing both of us to flinch before she scurried away from the room with her eyes filled with tears. She was definitely trying to not let them fall and I suddenly felt like a bad person.     "It wasn't her fault " I tried to protect her since it was technically my fault but the fuming Alaric wasn't ready to listen to any explanations as his burning eyes turned to me.  

      ALARIC'S POV   I stared at the hopeless little wolf trying to struggle her way away from the cuffs but the wolfsbane had stung her so badly that it made her wince in pain.   I hate to have to make her feel this way but she needs to understand there's more to just the life of gawking over that bastard and going against a lot of rules just to save the asshole who has been using her.   I wouldn't have thought twice but to kill the bastard but it would definitely hurt her and she wasn't ready for that, even though I had told her countless times that the boy was of no good for her, she chose to be ignorant so I would just have to let her see for herself that he wasn't worth all if the sacrifices she was making for him.   

    "Lenora!" I howled as loud as I could under the moon light but I still couldn't find her anywhere. That means they haven't taken her out of the pack house yet but were probably still hiding somewhere in the building.   But if they were to be in the building then it shouldn't take me up to a minute to sniff them out. I stormed back into the pack house to meet the couple still quivering and moaning in pain on the ground while some wolves were watching.    On seeing me, the whole crowd became silent as they instantly knew I wasn't in a good mood because of my aura. They all shook in fear and bowed simultaneously while I scanned the whole room and howled loudly causing them all to flinch and Josh ran towards me with his head bowed.   "What has angered you my lord" he politely asked while
