When Chelsea begins to bring breakfast over she does it with a slight scowl. I remember most of the younger witches behaving like that once Elle took over their training as well. They were used to not having to learn how to use their witch powers for any more than just fighting. Now, they are being shown how to use them for a bit of everything. Now, they can do more with their powers than they ever thought they would be able to. Now, they make breakfast and serve it with a smile instead of a scowl. Once all of the food is brought over, I wave Chelsea over to the empty seat next to me. She will not be able to sit next to me everyday seeing as all of the witches want a chance to sit with me but for today I will allow her to so that I can explain how training works. For Chelsea's first lesson, we are going to be spending some time outside. Originally, we were planning to spend the time in one of the classrooms but for her first lesson it will be much easier outside, closer to nature. Elle has already went over the basics of connecting with the Earth but now, Chelsea is going to get to learn what all that actually means. She is going to see exactly what that connection can do.When we make it out to the woods, we find that Elle has already created a place for us to sit and relax in a clearing. Instead of creating chairs that would keep us up a little higher, Elle has created cushions made out of moss that will help Chelsea connect to the Earth easier.Reaching out my own awareness, I cannot help but smile at all of the life surrounding us. There are birds and insects everywhere. There is even a family of raccoons living in one of the trees close to us. After lunch is finally finished I hang back in order to have a chance to talk with Aurora and some of her Coven. They do not try to rush out with some of the others but Elle makes sure that Chelsea gets out of the room with her and Hazel for their next training exercise.I know that there is a good chance that she does not know about Chelsea and her heritage but the fact that they show up for their first meal with my Coven while Chelsea is undergoing her first day of training is awfully strange. There has to be a reason for it that they can explain to me."Aurora, it is good to see you today. What brings you to lunch with us? I heard that you have not joined the Coven for lunch any day before now. It was a nice surprise to have you join us." I say smoothly. That night, I make sure that Hazel is keeping an eye on Chelsea before I sneak back downstairs. I need to find out what all Aurora and the others know about Chelsea. The only ways to do that are by asking, and hoping for an honest answer, or spying. Since I have already set up the guest quarters in a way that allows me to keep a better eye on our visitors, I think that I am going to go with option number two.This time I do feel a little worse about spying on this Coven than I did when the Witch Council was visiting. I do not know for sure if they are as much of a threat as the Witch Council was and I do not want to eavesdrop but I have to make sure that my family is safe. The rest of the day passes by without incident. Chelsea finishes her training in a similar fashion to what she was working on yesterday. She went into a classroom with Elle while I escorted around an illusion version of her with Hazel. We made sure to be seen by Aurora and Amanda a few times so that they would not go looking for where Elle was teaching the real Chelsea. I am excited to catch up with her after dinner as she is now learning how to use the elements. At first we were not sure if she would have that power or not but after a gust of wind caught her the other day when she tripped and almost fell we had no more doubts. It is one of the more common powers after all. Learning how to control the elements was one of my favorite lessons. They are so useful that it makes learning them much more exciting than some of the other powers. She will soon get to learn how to swim using them as well. That is one of the best things to do.
