"Where are you coming from?" Carlos's voice was low and menacing. He was breathing hard as though he just ran a marathon and was standing there. Calling her again the next second, this time his tone was angry, restless and desperate."I asked, ``Where are you coming from?"    Sapphire jumped with fear on the strength of his words. The tone that always stayed serene towards her echoed terror in the strong walls of the opulent room. She had never heard Carlos so malicious towards her. "I heard you had used all your smartness against the bodyguards to get Scroll released. Finished taking care of your Romeo?"   The statement felt very cheap to her ears. Sapphire didn't imagine even in her wildest dream her husband being a billionaire and CEO of a multi million dollar firm would stoop so low on his conduct.   

Chapter 24   Few minutes later….   "My love, I have been dying not being able to see you. Where did you go without informing anyone? If not for the jammer installed in your mobile..." Carlos shook his head and his lips landed on her neck. He bit her, sucked her there with a yearn of passion making his mark. "Do not do such crazy things." His breath was ragged after the bite, covered with desire but at the same time with a kind of control and power. Moving closer, he shifted her head up and then kissed her in wantonness, lust and most importantly in an undying love.   A whoosh of abhorrence strikes Sapphire's existence as she plants her hands on his chest and pushes him away. "Stay away from me you womanizer."   

As soon as she left the lawyers office, tears ushered in streams from Sapphire's eyes. She could not think after a decade of blissful married life and eighteen years of gratified relationship she would one day file a divorce with her husband who she loved more than her life. That night she did not want to face Carlos. He was her heart, her life and her everything. She knew he had an unsurpassed power upon her that could twirl her judgment in favor of him at any moment but she sentenced herself not to fall in the pit again.  Sasha had been throughout the ride consoling her but to no avail. Sapphire wouldn't stop crying. Guild called her but she was not in the right state to answer. So Sasha replied in place of her. Reaching Sasha's house, Sapphire picked a bottle of beer

Chapter 28   "Please do not do this to me." His voice was desperate pleading her. Akira is my life. You are leaving me, kindly do not separate her also. I will not be able to live." He spoke shattered.   Carlos was no longer bothered about his reputation in the society or goodwill of his company. He only called the things as an excuse to retain Sapphire as his wife. He would never, under any terms divorce her. She was his breath and he cannot live without her.   "You said you are going to give me anything in return for not divorcing you." Sapphire reminded Carlos, folding her hands across her chest. "I do not want Akira's innocence to be ransacked. She better stay away from the affection of her father than discover him as a womanizer with a new woman in his bed everyday.

For your kind information Sapphire, this lady is speaking from the samples/ report collection department. Your test results have arrived and she wants me to collect them from downstairs." Though Carlos was in a flame of heat at Sapphire's dirty comments on him every now and then, he controlled himself and walked to the exit. The doctor came after half an hour and studied the reports. But for the feedback he gave, Sapphire jumped out of her skin in utter despair while Carlos was in the joys of spring with his eyes twinkling like a thousand watt tube light. "Ms Sapphire, you're six weeks pregnant." He called in a light smile.  "Thank you so much doctor." Carlos answered in place of her, who was still in shock and couldn't resist but hug him.
