11. Dear Best Friend, LEVEL UP

Shan's POVThe waiters came over and asked for our order. If only Uncle Derek was here, he would probably already know what we both wanted.  When the waiter left I looked at Ciara who was drinking her Matcha Milk Tea, "Why isn't Uncle Derek here?"  She sighed, "We are supposed to be having dinner with our family tonight."

12. Dear Best Friend, INSECURITIES

Ciara's POVHe parked his car in front of the Senior High building and opened the door for me after getting out.   "Thank you once more," he offered to carry my bag, "you've done enough. it's a little heavy, but I'll handle it."   "All right, I'm sure you'll be fine."   I was ready to say anything when Julie, who was standing behind us, piped up, "Well, well, well. My ex-boyfriend and I broke up because the desperate best friend pulled him away from me."   "Julie, please leave us alone," Shan pleaded. "It doesn't work, as I told y

13. Dear Best Friend, TROUBLES

Shan's POVOur practice was finished, and the coach was just starting to speak when I observed that everyone was staring at their iPhones, and some even came out as if someone was creating a fuss.   I was just listening to our instructor, as soon as I saw Patrick enter the gym and call me out of it.   Our coach appeared to be finished speaking, so I grabbed my stuff and dashed over to him, "What went wrong? Why are people so preoccupied right now?"   "Come on! Hurry up to the second floor! Ciara is being harmed by Julie!"   My eyes widened, so I dashed through the mob, where I saw her tweaking the invincible Ciara, my girlfriend, once more.

14. Dear Best Friend, TRUTH

Kate's POVI went directly home after our enjoyable meeting with John and Julia. It's wonderful to see them, and I'm relieved to be free of everything.   I wasn't expecting them to last, but I think they're meant to be together.   History indeed repeats itself in what occurred to our children today. My previous concern was Julia taking my ex-boyfriend. And now, it's my daughter's problem.   And, first and foremost, I sympathize with her because I understand how she feels about Shan, but when I meet him and discover that he is Julia's son, I realize that they cannot be together.   Julie was waiting for me at home when I returned, "Hey."   "What the hell, mom?!

15. Dear Best Friend, SIBLING

Shan's POV"Babe, I can't believe daddy John isn't my biological father," I stated as my girlfriend tried to calm me down.   "Babe, I know there's a significant reason your mother kept everything hidden from you, and I know she doesn't want to hurt you," she said.   I got out of bed and pondered. Is it possible that whoever is my biological father abandoned by mom or that he abandoned us? If he ever left, he must have been stupid enough to abandon us.   Right now, I love my father even more because, although he is not my biological father, he makes me feel special, and even my grandparents, Grandma Jonalyn and Grandpa Jonathan, adore me.   "Babe, do you think I simply reacted too much?" I q

16. Dear Best Friend, PERFORMANCE

Ciara's POV We're enjoying breakfast with my parents in the Dining Room early in the morning. I got up early since we have a performance at ten a.m., and I am looking forward to it.     I'm also pleased since, contrary to my expectations, my parents now have more time for me. "Sweetie, do you want us to go on a trip this vacation? Or do you have any plans?" mom asked as we ate.     "Yes, mom," I replied, nodding. "My friends and I had planned a pleasant holiday at the Buenavista, Brett Swimming Pool."     "How about after your get-together with your friends? We're thinking of going visit your grandparents in Surigao City," dad says, interrupting the talk.     "Good idea, dad! Besides, I've been wishing to spend time with both of you, and this will un

17. Dear Best Friend, JULIE

Ciara's POVWhen we arrived at McDonald's, Patricia inquired, "What did she say to you?"   "Nothing," I explained, "she was just sorry and said her father is coming home today, so Mr. Phillip Garcia will be in Butuan."   "Which implies, Shan's father too," Faith remarked abruptly, sighing, "does Shan already know about this?"  "I doubt it," I shrugged. "Julie never informed Shan about it. She wants to tell Shan, but she hasn't had the opportunity to meet him yet."  I quickly saw Patrick waking in our direction so I stood up in my seat and assisted Patrick in lifting the plate of food. "Thanks, Ciar. So, what's our gossip for today?"

18. Dear Best Friend, MISUNDERSTANDING

Ciara's POVI hurriedly ran out of the fast-food chain to catch up to Shan where I came up to him. I grabbed him and he turned to me, "Shan, where are you going? Please come back."  He said bitterly, "No, I'm not going back, I'm heading straight home! I've lost my mood and appetite," but I stopped him.   "Shan," I replied, "what you said to Faith was so terrible. She's simply worried about you, and what's wrong with all of that? Why not give your real father a chance? I'm sure —"   He suddenly punched a metal pole which surprised and terrified me, "Can you all mind your own f***ing biz?! Please, don't control my life on who I like being with! Why are you pushing me t

19. Dear Best Friend, FACE-TO-FACE

Ciara's POVI was bored viewing movies and clips on Facebook while I scrolled through my phone. Things are different now that Shan is out, and I haven't spoken to him since our earlier fight.  I'm not used to being enraged and irritable with each other, but I'll give it some time. My parents are right that he requires time to reflect and change. Maybe he was surprised by what was going on, but I can't make him accept it right immediately, especially since he has no idea who that man is.  According to Patrick, I only feel sad for his biological father. I'm sure he misses Shan terribly because Shan is his son, of course. Shan, I'm sure, is unaware of this. Shan's father used to visit him when he was a child, according to Mrs. Anderson, until he was four years old.  I was just baffled as to why he hadn't shown up? What a wasting of Shan's chance to get to know h

20. Dear Best Friend, BASKETBALL GAME

Shan's POVCiara and I walked towards the restaurant hand in hand. We decided to return, and now it's time to confront him. I sighed and thought to myself, "It's time to give him a chance to let me love myself," and I appreciated Ciara's support and understanding. I looked at my side, who was smiling, and realized that I adored her. It was my fault that it took me so long to discover it. I can't afford to lose her, and I'm not sure what I'll do if she vanishes with me. I noticed that mom, dad, and Phillip were still present when we arrived at the restaurant. I'm not sure what to call him yet, but I'm not sure I want to call him Dad. When Mom and Dad noticed me, they stood up and approached me. Mom hugged me and held my face, his eyes red, "Shan, I'm glad you're back," she murmured before letting go of our embrace,
