Sometimes following your dream can feel like a sleepwalking kind of thing. However, if you don’t follow a dream you have, you would be like a dog barking without biting. So one shouldn’t cry to give up but cry to keep going. One shouldn’t cry to quit because you are already in it, rather find a way and benefit out of it. Nothing matters like maintaining the situation.   Time went by, and I was in grade4. It was our first day at school after the December holidays, and the Clever- Learner didn't pitch up at school. After noticing that she wasn’t at school, my mood changed and I got a weird feeling. Something should have happened to her. This is so unlike her. Or maybe she is having fun wherever she went for holidays so she forgot that schools were opening today. Who knows! She didn’t pitch up the whole week, then a month. A friend is supposed to be someone you know well and like. Someone who always supports the best in you. A person who has the same interests and opinions as yours. If I can have someone like that in my life, I`ll get a clearer picture of the path I really need to take. But who could it be? I once had a friend, I wouldn’t say I knew him well and like him. We were just naughty school kids. Maybe I should make new friends because those weren’t really friends. They were vultures in a sheepskin. They say God created this world and its people. They say He wanted nothing but peace towards his people. But what was he thinking? How dare He create us, alone, without a mother? It was those lonely days when the Cruel-man met me in the wasteland. By then I was used to the regular routine, the one my Last- born brother showed me when the warehouse was still the Old man scientist`s laboratory. He met me in a spot my brother once took me to. As I was sleeping after I had tried to study when I got back from the safe house, I had this nightmare- a bad dream, if you may say. In this dream, it was after school on my way to the Corner- Store when I got a message from the group leader demanding an urgent meeting. I decided not to go and instead went to the Corner store as planned.When I was getting close to the store, I heard gunshots coming from the store. I ran to see who was doing the robbery, instead, it wasn’t a robbery but a gunfight. I saw my brother and his girlfriend lying on the ground- shot, and the Wise- thug crying out loud for his sister. Dead as my brother was, the Wise- thug shot him two more times then fled the scene. In the morning, I didn’t tell anyone about my dream. After eating breakfast, I went to school without saying “Goodbye”. I was stressed. The dream was all over my mind.I wonder how I even got to school with that sta
