A month later, Grace sighed with contentment. She had accepted that her life had changed beyond recognition. Even though she missed being a doctor, Grace's day was filled full of activity.  Erin had indeed been teaching her etiquette, but not the traditional sort; the Gang variety! Grace had learnt how to read a room, tell if someone is lying, how to look strong and confident, the basic rules of gangs, the structure and even the Gang code. Xan watched Grace walk down the stairs and tried very hard not to stare at her too much, he did not want to scare her off after all! He could not believe his luck when Grace had so easily agreed to try him out. Xan made sure that he planned the date down to the last detail. But, as soon as he saw he could not remember a single detail. Grace was too busy concentrating on walking downstairs in far too higher heels to notice Xan’s lustful stare.  “Why did I let Kitty talk me into wearing these stupid heels?” Grace thought.  The momentary lapse of concentration resulted in Grace twisting her ankle and falling down the last couple of stairs. Xan instantly dropped his large bouquet of orchids and rushed to catch her. Grace was suddenly staring into Xan’s caramel brown eyes and could feel herself getting lost. “Are you ok?” Xan asked, his voice full of concern. “Oh my God! I am so sorry, Xan!” Grace squealed as she righted herself.

Grace opened her eyes and found herself blinking against the harsh light.  “It is alright Grace, you are in hospital. Can you hear me?” A friendly Nurse asked. “Yes!" Grace has pretty much recovered from the beating and coma. It had taken a couple of months of intense rehabilitation, but she was now able to walk and run a substantial distance.
