All Chapters of Broken Artemis: Chapter 21 - Chapter 30

I was surprised at how much Armand was willing to spend on food. I felt bad, but he told me not to worry about it. I was so shocked when he told me that, but I didn't fight him on it. I decided to eat the food in silence and I actually liked it a lot. Doc had given me some pain medicine before I left so I wasn't feeling much pain at the moment. My eyes widened in shock when we pulled up a huge house. I stared out the front window of Armand's car as my eyes took in the house. It was a four story house with lots of windows. There were steps leading to the door that was across the wrap around porch. On the porch sat a funny looking seat that looked like it would swing if you sat on it.   "What is that?"  I asked and pointed towards the funny looking seat. Armand followed where I was pointing with his eyes after he parked his car. He smiled before turning to look at me.  

After I woke up Arya told me that Armand was trapped in his mind. I did what I could to get him to be in the present, but it wasn't easy. After I finally got him to snap out of it he took me on a tour of the house. He kept referring to it as ours and I was curious as to why, but didn't ask him. I was shocked when we reached the fourth floor and saw how big it was. He led me to a room that he called ours and I followed him. I felt like my eyes would bulge out of my head when I took in the massive room. It was decorated in dark blues, golds, and blacks. The bed was large and stood between two floor to ceiling windows that were draped with golden curtains. The bed had a dark blue blanket on it and two pillows with gold colored pillow cases on them. I walked along the plush black carpet as I made my towards the bed. ** Artemis P.O.V. **  I was very thankful when Armand showed up after I was on the swing. I knew I was being emotional, but things were still hard for me. I was still afraid that one day I might regret trusting Armand, like I did with Beta Craig. Arya kept telling me that I could trust him, but it was still hard. He spoke to me, but not long after that there was a shift in the air. I looked into his eyes to see them glowing and I knew his wolf had come forward. I gulped because I was afraid, but Tafari quickly put those fears to rest. When he licked my wrist I giggle because it tickled and I thought he was being silly. I heard the pack members that were fighting, but I was surprised that Artemis heard the door slamming. It had come from two floors down so I thought it was faint. It only registered to me that she heard it when she jumped and the coffee went flying. When Doc was here to help treat her burns he explained that it was probably due to the trauma she had experienced. He gave me a burn ointment and told me she would be fine by tomorrow since the burns were superficial. I was still concerned for her because she seemed to be zoned out the whole time. Arya was explaining to Tafari and I that she was waiting for Alpha Nate to show up and beat her.
