CHAPTER THIRTY-SIX: Never Tried

I knocked on Lulu’s door or basically Kate’s room but I got no response. I was about to leave but I heard loud whispers from the inside. There were like two people arguing inside the room. I quirked a brow. Mandy told me that she will accompany Amara today for her prenatal check-up and they just left. There’s no way Dorothy could sneak in. Amanda has a photoshoot out of school either so she couldn’t be here. “Lulu?” I called but still got no response. I twisted the knob and the door wasn’t locked. I slowly opened the door and went inside of the room. I found her standing at the corner facing the wall. She was mumbling inaudible words furiously as though she was arguing with someone. “Lulu?” I called one more time but she didn’t look like she heard me. She brought her hands to the sides of her head and covered her ears. “Shut up... shut up... shut up!” “Lulu, what’s wrong?” I approached her. “Ahh!” she screamed still covering her ears. I swiftly recoiled my hand in shock. “No! Th

CHAPTER THIRTY-SIX: Dorothy

Dorothy was sitting in the middle of the dark room, unconscious. Lulu moved closer and hid behind me but her eyes were still peeking over my shoulder. She was hooked despite the fear that was consuming her. Mandy did the same to my other side. Amara wrapped her arms around mine and squeezed herself to me. Amanda did the same to my opposite side. I was like their human blanket or pillow they use every time they watch a horror movie. They all pressed against me more when Dorothy moved. She was awake. She looked around in total confusion. She ran around banging the walls and doors looking for possible exits. The camera was a pair of eyes following her movement and she didn’t seem to notice it. She stayed paranoid while trying to break free. In this type of situation, you have to keep calm in order to think right. In her case, she was like scooping a broth with a fork. “Dorothy...” a voice behind the camera called. It was sweet and playful yet creepy. It gave me goosebumps all over. S

CHAPTER THIRTY-SEVEN: Nails

“That was like a scene in a horror movie.” Mandy brushed her palms against her arms to get rid of the goosebumps. “A movie based on a true to life story,” Amara added. “W-Why did we watch it?” Lulu hugged her knees. “Yeah, why?” Amanda asked confused. Amara shrugged and so was Mandy. They slowly turned their head in my direction and my reaction was like I wrote the word what using my face. “I was looking for clues that would help me determine who the serial killer is. Let me remind you, I clearly and vividly remember you guys rejected my invitation but then you joined me one by one anyway. Don’t blame me for the nightmares haunting you even in daytime.” I sat on the edge of the bed. I exited the video after finishing watching it the nth time. They all looked at me with awkward smiles on their lips. Realization hit them like ton of bricks. We were currently inside our room, Amanda and my room. We spent the nights together after what happened to Dorothy. We also decided to stick t

CHAPTER THIRTY-SEVEN: I Saw You Die

I gave him my expressionless face and slowly pushed the door close. “Please... let me sleep there. I’m going to die in fright in my room,” he begged stopping the door from closing. I narrowed my eyes at him and studied his facial expressions. Grains of sweat were visible on his forehead. His eyes were restless. His breathing shallow and his heartbeat was fast. All signs of fear. “We’re all girls in here,” I told him. “I know and I don’t have any bad intensions. I swear.” He raised his right hand swearing. I looked at the girls. They looked at each other having conversation through their eyes. They nodded at the same time before nodding back at me altogether. The majority have decided. I didn’t have a choice but let him in. I pulled the door open to provide him an access. I looked left and right to check any sign of the lady in red but there was none. I closed the door and locked it. “I’ll sleep on the sofa.” He leaned over to put his things but Mandy jumped in before his blanket

CHAPTER THIRTY-SEVEN: Fire

“She’s burning hot! What should we do?!” I heard Mandy panicked. I forced my eyes open but only able to open it partly. Xyrus was walking back and forth in front of me. I could tell that I was still in the same position when I passed out. I wanted to speak but I couldn’t even part my lips. “I know.” He disappeared and the next thing I knew was liquid splashed all over the floor. “Did the water just evaporated right after it touched her skin?!” Lulu exclaimed in surprise. I didn’t know that Xyrus splashed the water to me. I didn’t feel anything. I was numbed all over. “Let’s try this and bring her in the shower!” Amara covered my body with a thick blanket. Xyrus knelt down and tried to lift me. Suddenly a burning scent crept in my nose. It was strong like it was near. “Fire!” Amara was jumping and pointing at me. “Holy sh*t!” Xyrus put me back gently on the ground. He pulled away the thick blanket Amara placed over me. The blanket was burning and the fire was already a feet hig

CHAPTER THIRTY-SEVEN: More

I wrapped my hands around his neck with my lips still on his. He held me by the waist and pulled me closer. He was right between my legs. I reached for his cheeks and deepened the kiss. The water from the shower ran down our heated skins. I still feel hot but this time I could feel the cold of the shower as well, I could feel his gentle touch. I could feel him. I savored every inch of his lips. Breathe in his flowery fragrance. Felt his warmth. Heard his racing heartbeat and even saw his face with eyes closed. His lips trailed soft kisses down my jaw. I roamed my hand around his broad chest. He left a soft kiss on my ear lobe before biting it with seduction. His hand ran down my back tracing my backbone giving me a tingling sensation and stopped right at the hem of my shirt. I felt him tugged my shirt upward. I pushed him and inched away. He just stared at me. Confusion written across his face. I fixed my eyes at him for a moment before averting my eyes to the wide open door and sta

CHAPTER THIRTY-SEVEN: I’ll Be Gentle

The door created a long creak that brought shivers upon me. My heart ponded wildly against my chest. I was like a kid who broke the vase and was scared to get caught of my mom. I shut my eyes close placing force on my eyelids. I just waited to get busted. My brows furrowed hearing only the slipping sound, Grip’s fingers created in my wetness. I opened my eyes. The door wasn’t already in front. I traveled my eyes to the side and saw the other door. “Are we inside the reaper’s den?” I questioned with widened eyes. “Yes, here no one can disturb us.” He gave me a quick kiss on the lips and winked. He grabbed my ankles and parted my legs wider. I wrinkled my forehead at him. He inclined his face down toward my core. I gasped and immediately pushed my legs inward but he was fast enough to clutch my knees and put them in place. He brushed his mischievous tongue against the space between my folds. “Ohh... F*ck!” I moaned leaning my head backwards. “Serra...” He called, still down there.

CHAPTER THIRTY-SEVEN: See Me With Your Heart

He kissed away my tears. “Let me feel your pain.” He brought my hands on his back and my legs around his waist. He captured my eyes with his tantalizing brown orbs. I bit my bottom my lip as he kept on thrusting pain in me. I dug my nails deep on his back sharing him the pain I was feeling. His thrusts turned faster and the pain was slowly fading as pleasure pushed in. I released my lips to free my moans. Lust and love enveloped us. I tightened my legs around his waist and my hands around his back pressing him closer to me. Suddenly he stopped. He distanced himself from me and straightened his back. “You’re gorgeous, Serra.” Admiration and love glazed in his eyes. He was looking down at me like I was the most beautiful girl he have ever seen. He unclasped my legs and brought them on his shoulder. He pulled out and sank back inside me. It was different. Slow yet extremely good and satisfying. “Oh, Grip.” My eyes rolled to the back of my head when he did that. This time he was deeper

CHAPTER THIRTY-EIGHT: Forbidden Word

I spent my Friday at home which Dad insisted for me to rest and weekends with the maids. There are thirty maids all in all in the mansion and they were all devided into three groups, bronze, silver, and gold. I don’t really know why there are such groups in colors that signifies nothing but their level of prestige in the mansion. Maids in bronze and silver stay at a small house at the opposite end of the mansion’s huge backyard. It took me thirty minutes before reaching the place. The house was a bungalow type but with a basement. The bronze maids stay at the basement while the silver maids stay at the ground floor. The design of both spaces are identical. Both basement and ground floor have a wide bedroom space with fifteen double deck beds and a common shower and wash rooms that resemble to that of military base. Each maid have three uniforms in accordance to the color they are in, same color, design, type of fabric, everything. While maids in gold consist only of three persons, th

CHAPTER THIRTY-EIGHT: Didn’t Invite Me?

The maids including the elderlies lowered their head in submission. I was the only one left who remained with chin up meeting my father’s eyes. His dark and dangerous aura reeked out of him. It was so strong that everyone in the room were able to feel it. With a stern look on his face he said, “you are all having fun and you didn’t even invite me?” I blinked multiple times. I couldn’t believe what he said and I didn’t even expect him to say it. The stiff in the air was sliced into pieces by his words and the smile that carved on his lips. The maids were also surprised even the elderlies. The head chef brought another chair and placed it beside me. Now I am sitting between two persons with menacing aura. Their aura combined to mine could match Grip’s deadly aura. Speaking of him. It has only been three days but I already miss him. “Eat more, Serra, so that you could grow some inches.” Dad tapped my head. “Miracles do happen,” he added referring to my height and laughed. Everyone on
