“She’s burning hot! What should we do?!” I heard Mandy panicked.

I forced my eyes open but only able to open it partly. Xyrus was walking back and forth in front of me. I could tell that I was still in the same position when I passed out. I wanted to speak but I couldn’t even part my lips.

“I know.” He disappeared and the next thing I knew was liquid splashed all over the floor.

“Did the water just evaporated right after it touched her skin?!” Lulu exclaimed in surprise.

I didn’t know that Xyrus splashed the water to me. I didn’t feel anything. I was numbed all over.

“Let’s try this and bring her in the shower!” Amara covered my body with a thick blanket.

Xyrus knelt down and tried to lift me. Suddenly a burning scent crept in my nose. It was strong like it was near.

“Fire!” Amara was jumping and pointing at me.

“Holy sh*t!” Xyrus put me back gently on the ground. He pulled away the thick blanket Amara placed over me.

The blanket was burning and the fire was already a feet hig

I wrapped my hands around his neck with my lips still on his. He held me by the waist and pulled me closer. He was right between my legs. I reached for his cheeks and deepened the kiss. The water from the shower ran down our heated skins. I still feel hot but this time I could feel the cold of the shower as well, I could feel his gentle touch. I could feel him. I savored every inch of his lips. Breathe in his flowery fragrance. Felt his warmth. Heard his racing heartbeat and even saw his face with eyes closed. His lips trailed soft kisses down my jaw. I roamed my hand around his broad chest. He left a soft kiss on my ear lobe before biting it with seduction. His hand ran down my back tracing my backbone giving me a tingling sensation and stopped right at the hem of my shirt. I felt him tugged my shirt upward. I pushed him and inched away. He just stared at me. Confusion written across his face. I fixed my eyes at him for a moment before averting my eyes to the wide open door and sta

The door created a long creak that brought shivers upon me. My heart ponded wildly against my chest. I was like a kid who broke the vase and was scared to get caught of my mom. I shut my eyes close placing force on my eyelids. I just waited to get busted. My brows furrowed hearing only the slipping sound, Grip’s fingers created in my wetness. I opened my eyes. The door wasn’t already in front. I traveled my eyes to the side and saw the other door. “Are we inside the reaper’s den?” I questioned with widened eyes. “Yes, here no one can disturb us.” He gave me a quick kiss on the lips and winked. He grabbed my ankles and parted my legs wider. I wrinkled my forehead at him. He inclined his face down toward my core. I gasped and immediately pushed my legs inward but he was fast enough to clutch my knees and put them in place. He brushed his mischievous tongue against the space between my folds. “Ohh... F*ck!” I moaned leaning my head backwards. “Serra...” He called, still down there.

He kissed away my tears. “Let me feel your pain.” He brought my hands on his back and my legs around his waist. He captured my eyes with his tantalizing brown orbs. I bit my bottom my lip as he kept on thrusting pain in me. I dug my nails deep on his back sharing him the pain I was feeling. His thrusts turned faster and the pain was slowly fading as pleasure pushed in. I released my lips to free my moans. Lust and love enveloped us. I tightened my legs around his waist and my hands around his back pressing him closer to me. Suddenly he stopped. He distanced himself from me and straightened his back. “You’re gorgeous, Serra.” Admiration and love glazed in his eyes. He was looking down at me like I was the most beautiful girl he have ever seen. He unclasped my legs and brought them on his shoulder. He pulled out and sank back inside me. It was different. Slow yet extremely good and satisfying. “Oh, Grip.” My eyes rolled to the back of my head when he did that. This time he was deeper

  • I Saw You   CHAPTER THIRTY-EIGHT: Forbidden Word

I spent my Friday at home which Dad insisted for me to rest and weekends with the maids. There are thirty maids all in all in the mansion and they were all devided into three groups, bronze, silver, and gold. I don’t really know why there are such groups in colors that signifies nothing but their level of prestige in the mansion. Maids in bronze and silver stay at a small house at the opposite end of the mansion’s huge backyard. It took me thirty minutes before reaching the place. The house was a bungalow type but with a basement. The bronze maids stay at the basement while the silver maids stay at the ground floor. The design of both spaces are identical. Both basement and ground floor have a wide bedroom space with fifteen double deck beds and a common shower and wash rooms that resemble to that of military base. Each maid have three uniforms in accordance to the color they are in, same color, design, type of fabric, everything. While maids in gold consist only of three persons, th

The maids including the elderlies lowered their head in submission. I was the only one left who remained with chin up meeting my father’s eyes. His dark and dangerous aura reeked out of him. It was so strong that everyone in the room were able to feel it. With a stern look on his face he said, “you are all having fun and you didn’t even invite me?” I blinked multiple times. I couldn’t believe what he said and I didn’t even expect him to say it. The stiff in the air was sliced into pieces by his words and the smile that carved on his lips. The maids were also surprised even the elderlies. The head chef brought another chair and placed it beside me. Now I am sitting between two persons with menacing aura. Their aura combined to mine could match Grip’s deadly aura. Speaking of him. It has only been three days but I already miss him. “Eat more, Serra, so that you could grow some inches.” Dad tapped my head. “Miracles do happen,” he added referring to my height and laughed. “Everything about her. What does she like? Favourite food, color, place. I want to know her more.” My grip on my sweatpants loosened after telling him the question. I was just getting started. I have a lot of questions for him. Morbid drew on his face. He reached for the picture frame that was placed on his desk. He ran his palm down the surface. “I know nothing about her in particular. We live under one roof but we don’t talk much. We were together for more than nineteen years but she’s behind my reach. All I know is she likes jewelries and designer dress, bags, and shoes.” Sadness dulled his eyes. “Her entire life, all I did was feed her and gave her material things. I thought they were enough.” He was speaking from his heart. He was telling me how bad he is as a father. I didn’t just heard him, I felt him. “Every father have different ways on how to show their love for their children,” I said and when he lifted his head, our eyes met. His lips instantly formed a smile. I didn’t

“Where is Lulu, Mandy?” I looked around but she was alone here in our usual place. No Lulu, just her. “She was just here a moment ago.” Mandy looked around as well. “I swear!” she said and raised her right hand. Something was off. I felt like Lulu is avoiding me and hiding something from me. I understand her desire to stay alive and her anger against Kate who murdered her. But dwelling inside Kate’s body and deprived her of life only makes Lulu a murderer, just like Kate that she hated the most. I also told her about my vision of Kate’s sinful body getting eaten by fire but she didn’t seem to care. She also didn’t want me to talk to Kate. She kept on blocking her. Add the darkness that lingering around her. I was not certain if the darkness was because of her devouring Kate’s soul or it was before she died. “Can you really get Lulu out of Kate’s body?” Mandy queried. “Yes, I don’t how this happened. I closed my eyes feeling his presence more. “I thought I am not going to see you again.” “I was allowed to show myself to you once in awhile because the heavens knew that, you not seeing my face for too long will make you sad.” He ran the back of his hand down my cheek. In the rashness of the moment, I began flinging my arms out.I expect to come back out and I did. I gasped for air before sinking again. I kicked my legs and flapped my arms and I was back to the surface again. But each chance to breathe became further apart. Each breath was less than the last.I tried once more. The more I struggle the more disoriented I became. I felt like I’m trashing inside an invisible prison. My first instinct was to get some air but there should be something else. I couldn’t fight for air forever. I need to find a way out.I pushed with my legs and arms and when I was able to bob my head out of the water, I breath as deep as I could. The water pulled me again. I looked around and saw a wall. The fear I felt was overlain by hope. I flicked my feet and tried to reach the walk. It was

We are going to find Lulu’s body.” I assured her and patted her shoulder. She yanked her shoulder away from my grasp and took a few steps backwards. She kept on pulling her hair and her eyes were restless. She didn’t know where to focus them.“W-What if that thing took it? W-What if that thing swallowed it?” Her breathing turned shallow and fast. She punched her head with boths hands wandering with little steps. She’s mentally unstable. I walked near her and caught her hands stopping her from hitting herself.“Stop it, Kate. You’re hurting yourself,” I told her.She already suffered enough. I couldn’t bear watching her like this.“That thing swallowed Lulu whole!” she squealed oogling her eyes at me.I grabbed her cheeks and made her look at me. “What thing, Kate? “I am sorry for ignoring you, guys.” Kate lowered her head. “I was just scared of Lulu. I’ve known her for years and I didn’t know she was capable of any of that. I know she won’t hurt any of you though. She was just after me.” Her voice cracked. I moved closer to her and rubbed her back. Comforting her is the only thing I could do for her right now. “Nothing of that is your fault, Kate. Monsters are made. Envy made Lulu into one.” I pulled her making her lean into me as she sobs. “But she is still the Lulu that we know. She’s a beautiful flower,” I added. She lifted her eyes to meet mine. “Will she become a flower forever? Are we going to meet her, the real her?” “No.” I shook my head. “In the next life I could be an animal or a plant or I could be in your body and you could be in mine. It depends on the decisions we make at this lifetime. That doesn’t mean we aren’t real. The real us is not our flesh but our soul.” I wiped her tears away. She nodded and smile. She leaned against

I dropped my phone after hearing what she said. I hastely went back to the elevator and ran again toward the gym. It was passed two in the afternoon already. “Serra, here!” Mandy waved her hand at me. I ran in thier direction. I gasped for air. “Where is Amanda?” “Amara called and they were together at the moment. What’s going on?” She looked both worried and confused. I looked at Lulu’s direction and Mandy already got what I meant. “Lulu!” I approached her. She turned around and faced me. She was wearing an ice-cold expression, far from the Lulu that I knew. Something was really not right here. I saw Kate died but her name wasn’t carved at the black scroll. I shook the doubt in my mind and focused to the present. “Lulu, grab my hand and get out of the body.” I lend my hand to her but just like before she just stared down my hand. “Yes, Lulu. Do it. “Are you sure about that?” Grip asked. “Yes, bring me back to the mansion. I chose to front my fear.” I firmly said. He nodded and smiled. He was proud. He grabbed my waist and pulled me nigh him. Lulu’s and Dorothy’s name was already written on the scroll of death and today was the thirteenth day from Xyrus’ supposed to be death. I wanted to save them, to do that I need to watch dad’s every move. I was not certain if my plan would work but I have to try at least. “Grip, something’s off–” I turned around but he wasn’t here anymore. “Grip?” I sighed and just walked the long way toward the mansion. He was vanishing from my sight very often this days. It was a sign that he would leave and cross to the other side very soon. As I walk the garden I came across with bronze maids. They would avoid taking the same way as I do. They would even avoid staring in my eyes. I stared at the huge closed door before me. Just by thinking of going inside gave me goosebumps. I took a deep breath. I p

Fear enveloped me when I arrived at the mansion. Dead bodies of maids were lying everywhere in the front yard. The metallic scent of blood was giving me a feeling of gagging. I looked around hoping that I could find someone breathing but I was too late. Some were beheaded, some were stabbed multiple times, and chopped like a piece of meat. “Ahh!” I snapped my head in the mansion’s direction. I knew that scream and it was coming from the mansion. I ran and ran. Ran as fast as I could. I pushed the mansion’s door wide open. In front of me was dad wearing his usual coldness. In front of him stood Amanda. She was dressed like the lady in red. I saw no emotion in her eyes. Dad placed his hand on her shoulder and whispered to her, “say hi to your sister.” Amanda slowly raised her hand and waved at me like a puppet. “Hi...” Dad’s lips twitched. He didn’t like what Amanda did. His fingers turned black and grew long. Digging its sharpness in her shoulder. “Do it with a smile.” He gritted h

I rose from my seat but a man stopped me by grabbing my arm. His face was a bit blurry but the longer I stare the much clearer his face become. My brows furrowed to see Xyrus who was wearing a weird looking clothes from the past. The breeches were long and fairly full in cut, reaching just below the knee. The doublet has a high waist at the sides and back, extending to a point in front. A deliberate opening of the seam on each sleeve allows the fine linen shirt underneath to be seen. He completed his attire with a cape that spans almost a full circle. I looked at myself. I was wearing a deep brown gown with a low rounded neckline and a small ruff paired with a winged collar. So will you lower your voice now?” I scolded him in a whispering manner. “Do you think you won’t get caught? Maybe you passed through the elderlies but how about that?” He grabbed my hand and directed my phone’s light to the ceiling.
