Natasha was more than excited to skip school and follow Diane to pick up Malvika from the airport. After the incident at the movies with Paul and his new girlfriend, it was becoming increasingly difficult for Natasha to enjoy school. Every time she walked into the school, the first thing she saw was Paul and his girlfriend sucking each other's faces of. It annoyed her and saddened her. Towards the afternoon, Malvika had asked to borrow Diane's car. Diane, obviously had questions she needed answer to but Malvika kept saying she would answer these questions later and Diane had no choice but to lend her the car. Malvika left the house in Diane's car. She drove to her secluded place where she was sure no one would see her. Then, she parked the car. She grabbed her phone, unlocked it, scrolled through her contact list and came to a stop at Jenny's name and dialed the number. She waited for a while, the phone ringing until Jenny picked up. Malvika walked into Nicholas's house in determination, her fingers tight around the strap of her bag. As she walked in, she saw Diane and Nicholas sitting on the couch cuddling. Immediately she walked in, the both of them raised their heads to stare at her. "Malvika!" Nicholas exclaimed. "You are back," he said. She forced a smile at him. "Hey, Nick," she said politely. Diane and Nicholas stayed in bed, their arms around each other with a cover over them. They were awake but silent. Only the sounds of their breathing could be heard. Diane moved her hands slowly and softly around Nicholas' chest, feeling his chest heave up and down as he breathed. Then, she whispered, "Nick?""Yeah?" he answered"Can I ask a question?" she asked. Diane was becoming pretty excited at the prospect of having a baby. Something good and interesting was finally happening in her life and she just couldn't wait to have it. Three days after her discuss with Malvika, she drove her - Malvika – to the hospital for a scan. According to her, she wanted to be sure that the baby was in perfect condition and most importantly, she wanted to know the gender of the baby. Was it a boy or the girl. So, she drove Malvika to the hospital despite Malvika's protests of course. She wanted to ask Nicholas to come with her but Malvika thought that would be a little bit weird, so, she didn't. Jenny slouched on the couch, her lower body positioned by the edge of the couch. There was a table beside her and on the table was a bottle of whiskey with an half filled glass. She had in her hand a cigarette. She glanced on the couch across her where Ashley laid on, her eyes closed. As if Ashley could feel her stare, she opened her eyes and their gazes met. Diane stood by the dressing mirror, slowly peeling off her earrings. As she did so, the door opened and from the reflection on the mirror, she could see Nicholas walk in. A smile graced her face as he walked towards her and snaked his arms around her. "Hey," he whispered in her ear, giving her a kiss on the temple. "Hey," Diane murmured still smiling. "You feeling sleepy already?" He asked, still holding her by her waist and now rocking her slowly from side to side. "No. Why?""I was thinking we could go outside tonight and watch the stars," he said in a soft voice. "That will be nice," Diane answered slowly. She turned around in his arms, placing both of her hands on his shoulders. "Let's do it," she said. Jenny knocked on the door patiently. Although, her face looked sad, her insides were dancing for joy. She was finally going to have a hold over Jayden, even if it would be for a short period of time. Drawing in a deep breath, Jenny pushed the door to her car open and climbed out. She adjusted her skirt, dragging the hems down as she looked up at the hospital. She drew in a shaky breath. She couldn't believe that it would come to this. She thought Jayden would just accept her word for it. But he didn't do that. No. Instead, he insisted that she come to the hospital for a check up.
