Malvika pulled her bag and luggage after her, walking out of the airport. She had no idea what to do or where she was going. But she knew she couldn't go back to New York. Not anymore. She could never call her sisters again, at least not for a long while. She had blocked their numbers and even blocked them on all of her social media including Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. She was starting a new life. Maybe after a while, when she had settled down, she would finally call them to apologize. She would tell them that it needed to be done and that she had no choice. But for now, all she could do was ghost them. Standing by the side of a road, she waved her hands to flag down an empty cab and the driver parked beside her. "Hi. Can you just take me to the nearest hotel?" she asked. He frowned at her unusual request. "I'm sorry. I'm new to Florida and I don't really know anywhere here. So, could you help me out. Just drop me at the nearest hotel, please, thank you."He nodded and she op

Jenny stormed into the restaurant, pushing the door open and slamming it close loudly. Her actions caused the guys sitting together in a close knitted circle at the table, some drinking and some smoking, to look at her. She paused, glaring angrily at them at first, but then, she walked towards them and slammed her fist against the table with a loud smack that could make even the bravest person flinch but not one of the men moved. They simply stared at her with stoic looks on their faces. They were all used to Jenny’s temper tantrums by now, so, they simply stared at her not saying a word. She glared at them harder for that. “What are you looking at?” she snapped. One of the men just shook his head and asked, “Jen, what do you want?” in an exasperated tone. Jenny could be overbearing sometimes. Up till now, none of the men ever understood why their boss allowed a woman into the gang. Jenny was the first and only woman to be in the gang. The car screeched to a stop in front of Diane’s company and Nicholas climbed out, securing the lock of the door before walking into the company. Immediately the receptionist, Ariana, saw him, she rose to her feet, a polite smile on her face as she said, “Good morning, Mr. Langston. How may I help you today?”Nicholas instructed himself to play it cool. This wasn’t going to be like the last time when he almost terrified the girl, forcing her to let him see Diane. “I am here to see…..” he wanted to say 'my wife,' but he quickly stopped himself and instead, he said, “Miss. Matthews.”Ariana was a little surprised by how he addressed Diane. The last time he was there, he had been ranting about how Diane was his wife and how he didn’t need an appointment to see his wife. Now, he was referring to her as 'Miss Matthews'? Maybe there were already finalizing their divorce. “Hmm…. Ahem,” she cleared her throat. “Do you have an appointment?” she asked.Nicholas let out a sigh. “No, but it is ext

The doorbell rang and Natasha pulled herself out of the couch to go and open the door. Ever since the fight between Diane and Nicholas that night, Diane had insisted that Natasha stayed with her. What are you doing here?”“Your sister instructed me to come here this evening,” he said. “We’ve found a new way we can track Malvika’s location.”“That’s nice. Come inside,” she said, stepping aside for him to walk in. Malvika stumbled into the hotel, her shoes in her hand. Her hair look disheveled and her clothes were dirty. She had had a messed up day and all she wanted to do was go to bed. She slumped down on a seat across Haley. “Hey,” she mumbled, making her presence known.“Hey, honey,” Haley said as she raised her head and saw Malvika. During the five days that Malvika had spent here, the both of them had fallen into an easy camaraderie of chatting and talking and sharing their problems with each other. “What’s wrong?
