Not again. Not even at this crucial period. I did not need more than the growls and the foul odor emanating from the wolf to know it was a rogue. Saliva was dripping down the side of the mouth as it continued to growl at me and it was one way to know it wasn’t in its right senses. What was I even thinking when I decided to escape from where I was bound? That I would have it easy when I step foot outside? I should have known that leaving the territory of the Green Woods, which was probably the safest place for me at the moment, would expose me to harm's way. This rogue was probably the tip of the iceberg. I might have lost my abilities as a wolf, but the stench from the rogue was disgusting to me. I was at this point where I could puke my brain out but my self-control was helping in a lot of ways. “Hmph,” I whimper, not just once, but three times. Right now, I couldn’t feel myself. I was sore all over with no idea how I came to be in this state. I can’t even say I was in my right senses as everything about my being was inexplicable. Or could I be dreaming? It took me a while to realize I was nothing close to being in the dreamland. My eyes were drooping as I try to force them open. It was becoming quite difficult a task that at one point I had to give up and let myself recuperate. Maybe by then, I would get a hang of my system. A few minutes later and I open my eyes wide to the fading day. The sky was grey and I could tell that in no time, the night would befall me. My arms felt heavy to lift and so were my legs. It prompted me to stay still on the ground, right in the middle of where I have no idea of. I could be lost for crying out loud. Or maybe right in the middle of something unpredict

“If you think about it, the first place that she would run off to is her uncle’s. She remains something of a member to the Red Crescent pack, remember?” Luke uttered those words as he tried to keep up with the pace of the man in front of him. The man in particular, who was Garrett, seemed like he had no intention of slowing down. At that time they had made it out of the building they were in. Despite Garrett’s attitude, Luke had no choice but to keep on with the motion because he knew slowing down won’t help him meet up. “I know,” came Garrett’s quick response to Luke’s statement, “but you might not be seeing the bigger picture,” “What exactly do you mean?” That was when Garrett stopped walking, almost making Luke collide with him. It was unexpected but Luke’s wolf ability came in handy at the right time. 

Walking deep inside the woods was hectic, and I have no choice but to go slowly. My motion was as slow as a snail, picturing me as a fragile human. Although, as of now, everything felt different in me. But it doesn’t change the fact that I have been through hell for the past two days. I have survived two more rogue attacks, the possibility of being nabbed by members of a small pack, as well as surviving an attack from a wild one out there. Thanks to the gifted abilities I now possess, I have been able to successfully evade every sort of situation I got into. However, it always comes with a price — Exhaustion. Once I use any of my abilities for too long, which I always do during the evasions, I get drained of my energy both physically and mentally. The water felt like a part of me as it rained down on me from the showerhead. The refreshing feeling that took over me was inexplicable, causing a sort of craving for me. I had a bath in the river some days ago, but the feeling from then was far different from what I was getting from this. Maybe it’s because I tuned the intensity of the water to my convenience. I definitely know that this is what I need now.   I take my time grasping the feel of the water before washing up.
