It was midnight when a call woke Ferdinand from his shallow sleep. Groaningly sitting up, he glanced at the clock and saw it was only 3 AM in the morning. It seems that the called has been calling him since 5 hours ago, and there's already a hundred of missed calls. XXXII. The Start Of The Chase

B City Base has recovered after the zombie escape incident several months ago. The Laboratory has been renovated and the equipments has been upgraded. The research is still on it's middle stage, unable to make progress due to certain mysterious factors that is absent and can't be determined. Ferdinand returned to his old job and continued non-stop calculations, experimentations, and trials. XXXIII. Hostage

The chase finally commenced. Farrah wasn't surprised when everything went into this direction. The moment she discovered Dior's transformation, she knew this kind of scenario will happen. She wasn't afraid. She was calm, extremely calm that it was so surprising. If it was others who's in these kind of situation, they'll probably break down in moment now.They been running for several days, and it's getting tough as day passes by. It was getting harder and harder to move unnoticed, there's people tracking them down, and even though they try so hard to escape in fast speed, it seems that fate is really against them now.  Hiding behind the tall grasses, Farrah frowned as she gazed upon the unresting helicopters surveying the areas. “How could there be so many helicopters?” She didn't dare assume that their country has this many aircrafts, she couldn't help but to doubt. It's making her feeling irked because it's limiting their possible escape routes. “The higher ups probably asked neighboring countries for help, I'm now the greatest threat to everyone after all.” Dior smiled self-deprecatingly, but there's no fear in his face. XXXV. TWO FARRAH

Dior used zombies to as deterrence to their chasers, and though he didn't order them to attack humans, it is no longer in his control if the zombies attacks them. If they're really pushed into a situation where he needs to mobilize zombies, then he will not hesitate. They have escaped several cities now, with no intended direction. They both knew that if they continously go to one direction, it is likely that they would get ambushed or cornered.  It took one and half day before they arrived at the most populated city of the country—N City.  N City is known for its countless trip destinations, commercial districts, residential, logistics area, and many more. XXXVI. Just This Time

The sky was dark and brimming with gloomy atmopshere, coupled with the chilly wind that can wake goosebumps upon skins. Even though it doesn't rain, the sun refused to go out, and the temperature dropped ever since yesterday.  Any time by now, the rain will fall and it will certainly be a heavy downpour. The Governess stared at the sky by the window, and kneaded her forehead. She's so tired already, so is her men, but even a single sign of the monarch can't be found. Gripping his hands tightly, Farrah and Dior stared at each others eyes. Both of them doesn't know whether they made the right decision or not, but since it's here, they can no longer step back and regret what they had chosen.  “Are you ready?” Farrah asked, voice trembling slightly. She felt her throat constrict, and her chest tightening. Dior noticed it and kissed his forehead. “I'm ready. Let's go?” He calmly replied. Smiling, Farrah nodded at him. Both of them walked towards the exit of the building steps by steps, fingers entangled with each other. Each breath represent their emotions, even some kind of anticipation. XXXVIII. Birth

Dior was immediately imprisoned inside B City's Laboratory, but with Ferdinand in tow, Farrah's fear lessened greatly. She trust her father that he will protect him from harm, and wished that the antidote would be developed sooner or later.  She went back to their house to take care of DaeDae, so Eden can go back to her work again. Though Farrah was also included in the research team, her profession was quite different so her task were minimal. She's either delivering food, washing the dishes, and organizing documents. It's enough for Farrah, as long as she can see Dior. Dior was imprisoned inside a huge glass tube, floating in a nutritional liquid. The rainy season has finally started, roads are always flooded inconveniencing a lot of people inside the base. The rain didn't stop for a week, and even when it stopped, the sun still refused to make appearance. The weather undoubtedly affected everyone's mood, only those overly optimistic ones can smile from ear to ear. Just like Eden who's obviously lovestruck that she can't stop smiling from morning to evening. Farrah even began to believe that Eden's lips were sculpted that way because she can't seem to close her mouth at all. Her pearly white teeth were proudly shown to anyone. “You don't feel your muscles cramping smiling all day?” Farrah chuckled, leaning on her chair, steaming coffee placed on her wooden table. Eden shyingly blinked, a red tint spreading over her plump cheeks. “No. I'm not smiling since morning alright. I'm just being normal here. You guys are so weird.”
