Chapter 11: Temptation of the Pandora

“Let’s do our best,” Chris whispered while we walked inside the building.    I turned behind us, and we were far between Tara and Clark.    Many people wore formal attire while holding expensive wine glasses. We walk among the rippling crowds.    “Besides the underground auction, what other event is going on tonight in this building, Chris?” I asked in a low voice as I anchored my hands on my friend’s arm.    “A birthday party, but obviously, it’s just a cover of the ongoing auction behind. As I said earlier, Clark and Tara will attend the party, and we will enter the bidding.”   Chris said as we walked continuously. Tara was against this because Chris chose me to be his partner at the auction. She even complained that Clark could go instead of me.    Actually, I really don’t know why Chris asked me to be with him in the first place w

It’s already ten minutes since Chris left me while the auction for the Pandora ring’s still ongoing.  “You look stunning. Just like the first time we saw each other, you are wearing black. A color used for sophisticated, brave, elegant, and mysterious person.” I immediately looked up. A man wearing a face mask was standing behind me. “Mind if I sit beside you, my damsel?” he asked, but then, he suddenly sat down without my answer.  I was shocked because I prayed that our paths would never meet again last time, but the world is playing with me here.  I let out a deep sigh, ignoring this tycoon’s existence. I focus on the platform. I couldn’t help but pursue my lips as I stared at the ring placed on the table.  It was tempting me. “You like that?” the man beside

Chris nodded with a smiling face.  “We almost got caught yesterday night,” Clark muttered with a lazy tone as he lay his back to the sofa. It’s already afternoon, and we are facing each other inside the headquarters.  “Yes, almost!” Tara hissed and stared at Chris, “Even if we caught something precious as this Pandora, promise me, Chris, this is the last time that we will do such a tremendous plan.” Chris smirked and stared at me.  “The important thing is that those goons did not seize us! Also, Gands likes the ring, so it’s worth it the suspense!” I raised my left brow but couldn’t help my lips from forming a curve. We looked at each other, making us laugh simultaneously, thinking about the chasing

Chapter 14: The Rider and his Familiar Stare

“It’s you, my damsel.” Zygo muttered as he walked in my direction. I tightened my grip on the handlebar, pinning my feet on the ground to balance the rested bicycle.  I gently bit my lower lip. I wanted to turn around and ride my bike away from this current place, but I couldn’t because someone was also waiting behind me.  Zygo closed the gap within us by a single step, causing my chest to throb. Why do I feel intense? I shouldn’t feel it because I’m not at fault.  “What are you doing in the street, lurking around alone?” He asked, making me knit my brows. “Excuse me?” Zygo just stared directly into my eyes and didn’t answer, then turned his eyes behind me. “Who are you?” He asked, pointing at the man behind me, causing me to tighten the grip on the handlebar even mor

“GD, are you okay?” Tara asked in the middle of the noisy crowd. I nodded. It’s been a few minutes since the rider wearing a red helmet left. “I’m fine, Tara. Are you enjoying this show?” I asked and gave her a stingy smile. She nodded her head along with a smile on her lips. “Yes. The twins are right. This place will help us enjoy the day. We all loved exciting things, and this is enough to bring ease to our minds.” “I’m glad that we did not turn down this offer,” I turned my gaze to Clark, that was standing next to Tara, “Where’s Chris?” I asked when my eyes couldn’t find his twin.  “I have no idea where he has gone too. He just said that he had to buy something.” After Clark said those things, he focused his eyes on the riders who were moving along the rough terrains. I l

Chapter 16: Alchy Vandolf

The motorbike I was riding was running fast.   “They are as of now behind us,” the man working the motorbike murmured between the solid winds beating our bodies. I turned around and saw three black cars taking after us. I fixed my arms that were wrapping around the man’s abdomen when the speed multiplied. I don’t have a choice but do this humiliating development fair to protect my life. We are presently running within the center of a sloppy zone. It’s like an expansion of the unpleasant landscapes. What we are currently taking is inverse to the street where my friends took. I trust that they securely get away from here. Some minutes passed until we got ourselves out from the sloppy street. Endless vehicles are running cleared out and right between us. There were gigantic trucks before us, but this man rapidly sped off and overwhelmed them.

Chapter 17: A Muse to the Banquet of Terrorists

I never expected things to be this way.  “Capt--who’s that beautiful woman?” asked the man who greeted us. He was naked, and sweat was trickling from his face onto his exposed body. He was just done with doing a workout. His crew-cut hair was additionally damp. “She’s someone who can offer assistance to us fulfilling our assignment in Tranquil. In that case, she’ll also be the key for us to go back to Bridi.” Alchy said and led his way inside this place that was nothing but full of emptiness.  I just followed behind the man who addressed me nothing but just a tool for his own sake. “This woman? How can you make a gorgeous woman become our instrument? Are you nuts, Captain?!” the man yelled and followed Alchy.  “Lieutenant Grey, what do you expect me to do, and do you think that I’m beating the bush?&

Chapter 18: Drugged by a Water?

“You brought me here without saying anything else about what I would do. I know that I am a tempting bait for your assignment, but why do I need to come with you to this event? I’m not good at socializing with other people.” I whispered as we walked through the people inside this mansion’s ballroom. “I already told you earlier.” “Absolutely. Just as bait, right?” “Go and figure it out, Shantal,” Alchy mumbled and increased the pace of our step. I was wearing an off-shoulder floor-length velvet dress with high heels.  I did not talk anymore; however, my heels made a staccato beat echoing off marble floors and granite walls. I’m not sure if it’s because of the sound made by my heels grabbing the attention of the people here or because of the color of my hair. I subtly sigh. Hopefully, after tonight I can g

Chapter 19: Fall into the Tycoon’s Arms

My body pressed into a soft thing and the feeling of being drunk entered when I did not consume even a slight amount of alcohol.    Suddenly, my average body temperature changed with the disorientation of my vision. I do not know what’s happening to my body. It kinda responding to something.    Indeed, even though I was feeling exceptionally befuddled, my ears clearly listened to how the door opened, and the person’s feet drew nearer to where I was.    “It’s pleasant to watch you in that position, lady. You’re enticing this lion to eat his prey.” this voice, it’s from the fat man earlier. Is he the one behind this drug I intake without knowing?   I wanted to open my mouth and speak, but no voice seemed to come out from it. I could not feel my strength. Chapter 20: Being used, again?

“Finally, you are awake, my woman.” a husky voice greeted me as I opened my eyes. I turned my body to the right side and met a pair of brown eyes, “Good afternoon.” he added.  I quickly sat up from lying down and immediately rolled my eyes over to the room where I currently was; the ambiance of this place is unaccustomed to the taste of a woman.  The whole place was colored gray and splashed with orange. There are exciting art walls, and the lightning is thoughtful; the details are balanced. This room was made of rough concrete, rustic wood, brick walls that suited a man. My eyes landed on the part of the middle ceiling. A crystal chandelier was hanging while antler and horns were beside it; it’s adding some sexual vibes.  After observing, I brought my gaze back to the man who was sitting beside my bed. His hands were crossed over his chest, wearing a dark
