By around 4:00 am the next morning, Emma was forced awake by hunger. Her tummy grumbled so much that she could no longer fall back asleep. Sitting up she clinched to herself tightly in anguish but then she remembers the remaining cookies Stephanie left for the next evening. She couldn't wait any longer as she dragged herself to the door and searched for the cookies. Finding it after some minutes, she counts the remaining ones and they were only five. Devouring only two of them did nothing to relieve the hunger she felt, so she takes an extra half. Still, she was hungry, so much that she ate up all of the remaining cookies left. Right after, she felt awful about what she had done but could do nothing but throw away the empty wrapper.
