Chapter Ninety

Unknown POV   The ritual was attended by several werewolves in the pack. Some males put the dead animals in the fire as offering while the other packmates howl incessantly to the peeking moon. They look like they were calling for the Moon Goddess herself. The savory scent of the roasting meat of the offerings wafted strongly in the surrounding air. The wind carried up the smoke to the sky. And as if the moon had smell its palatable aroma, it appeared from behind the clouds at its brightest glory. It was an ominous sight for the werewolves. They believe the Moon Goddess accepted their offerings and they howl louder and jovial even more. Everybody participated on the ceremony. Even the Alpha was howling at his loudest in harmony with his packmates. As his sight was on the bright moon, he was mentally praying for the Moon Goddess.“You are the most powerful of all, Moon Goddess. You made us all,

Chapter Ninety-One

Amante POV    We were invited by Alpha Mayor to stay a day in the island. I asked about the safety of the pack. I heard from Joaquin that the human refuges knew nothing about the werewolves. They thought the village at the base of the mountain was indegenous people and were accustomed to the freak outs of the volcano. The disturbances of the volcano have somehow became advantageous to the werewolves' pack. Ordinary human beings were terrified by the intense disaster that happens several times daily. As of the time we stayed on the island, there were less than a hundred mortals scouring in the area. Those were the people who were studying and observing the temperamental volcano. They pose no threat to the surviving pack.“Alpha King Amante, Luna Allyssa, this is my only son, Kelvin. He is only ten years old but trained enough already. He’s best in combat among the pack warriors and

Chapter Ninety-Two

Amante POV  Allyssa’s eyes glows white all of a sudden. Her body trembles hysterically for a moment until she stood frozen on her place between my arms. She feels so cold and the her breathing was frantic. Her exhausted appearance doesn’t seemed to be hers. I first thought she was being exorcised. I have never seen her like this before.“Allyssa, what’s happening? Answer me!”I shake her body to wake her senses up, and I felt relieved when she looked at me like she heard me calling out to her.“Calm down, Amante! I am on a connecting trance with Irna. I can see through her eyes, have the sensation of what she feels, and listen to everything she heard. She’s now being seized by the wereguards at the borders of Verte Monde.”Allyssa held unto my arms and kisses me. I felt a tingling sensation, not the way I felt whenever our bodies touched each other, but it was something chil

Chapter Ninety-Three

Amante POV    Maziar fell helplessly on the frozen ground of the Antillia Forest, holding up the lean body of Roman on top of him. Their awkward position made them stacked up with each other for another series of seconds before coming to their senses. They hastily tore each other’s body away from one another and swipe their torsos foolishly as if they were caught on a fire.I could not help but laugh out loud at their fanciful act of embarrassing themselves like fools. I have actually forgotten for a moment there, that I was not on my own body but someone else’s, and it was the female Omega who had committed treason and murdered my gentle Marina. The miserable appearance of Marina’s macerated body flashes inside my mind all of a sudden. I choked on my own breath and that halted my maniacal laugh. Maziar and Roman subsequently glared at me with their piercing eyes. I would hav

Chapter Ninety-Four

Amante POV   After the mild earthquake that left my wife concerned about the situation of the island, there were several weaker aftershocks. The earth tremor seemed to got tired and rested for a while. Alpha Mayor stood next me, his face were gloomy and I think it was understandable. This place was supposed to be the haven for werewolves like us. Our sustenance of warm-blooded meat from the abundant and dynamic ecosystem of this area was crucial to our comfortable existence more that just for the mere survival of our pathetic lives. We did endure living at the barren, frozen land of Antarctica and depended wholly on the marine animals that were available in the place for more than twenty years. The Irati Nardus Pack grew stronger from there, with the new generation of pups that were trained to survive at the harsh environment. This place, the island of Cape Narciso was our last threshold.Allyssa wa

He organized professional sharpshooter soldiers named ‘Dark Guards’ that was later considered as a difficult endeavor for American troops  during their campaign in the northern districts of the small country below China. His three-tier defense line culminated in the creation of a military stronghold in the republic. Chapter Ninety-Six

Amante POV    This wretched human being must be begging for his early death. He dared to point a gun on Alpha Mayor’s face and has his threatening smirk that was plastered on his obnoxious face. I do not have to move an inch. Alpha Mayor now has acquired a limited power to immunity against wolfbane and silver. And moreover, I doubt the gun has silver bullets.Ordinary bullets might inflict pain and even decapitate werewolves for a short period of time. Even so, it does not meant to kill one in a series of hits. The healing capabilities of our kinds made us invincible in front of useless guns unless bulleted by silver.“Amante, the volcano eruptions were a hoax. It was man-made, deliberately manipulated by some humans to occupy the island for themselves.”A shaken voice of my mate reverberate inside my mind through the mind link. I felt my heart juggled inside my chest.

Chapter Ninety-Seven

Amante POV      All humans fell down to their death on the cauldron of fire they built themselves. It was a sucessful maneuver. I helped my wife throw down all the unnecessary mess of equipment and tools around the area. Using the mortal’s own technology to our advantage, we located all the remaining CCTV and other gadgets scattered all over the island. The morning sunshine was already peeking in the horizon. With the help of Alpha Mayor’s pack, we disposed off all the destructive powders and liquids formulated by the researchers hired by General Jessie dela Cruz. And speaking of the devil, I heard from Alpha Mayor how he pissed on his pants because of the terror brought about by the werewolves. He was the last to take his last breath and their mutilated bodies were thrown into the fire pit as well. The volc

Chapter Ninety-Eight

Amante POV     After the heartfelt talk with Kelvin, we decided to keep the secret in between us until his spirit wolf appear. I justified this resolve stating that he might be put in great danger once Maziar found out about his one of a kind talent. Although his physique was larger and mature more than the pups on his age line, he was still a pup and stood nothing less but a miniature soldier in front of other full grown and well trained werewolves. Now that I have discovered his ability, I asked permission from Alpha Mayor as his biological father, to have Kelvin by my side at all times. I have mentally talked about it to my wife. Allyssa was also surprised but delighted of the discovery. She was more than willing to have Kelvin and treat him like our own son.The trip to Verte Monde finally began. We have the alive offerings with us, though in my mind, it was meant for the cele

Chapter Ninety-Nine

Unknown POV   “I don’t care what you do with that pup. Just lure him into the grasp of you hands without anyone noticing. Suspicions about manipulating the future Alpha King would bring nothing but disaster on our plans. Bear that in mind, my son!”The one called son was a young lad, not exceeding eighteen years of age. His crow-black hair was cut clean and neat which matches his squared-jaw face. His athletic built figure was a towering six-feet inches and a half. Although he has soft and drowsy-looking eyes, the devilish smirk plastered on his sun-burned face was illuminating a somewhat devilish sight.“I will not fail you, father! That prince would sway and roll when I ask him to, I promise you that.”“I believe in your words, Maziar, my only son! Time will come and you shall have all of the werewolves bow their heads down in your presence as their Alpha King.
