The split-second shocked expression of the driver while she was instructing him the address was overlooked by her eyes fixating outside as though by some miracle, Eli would pop out of nowhere. By the next minutes, she slept on the passenger seat without her intending to. The faint sound of engines dying awoke her and the first thing welcoming her sight was a police station.
