The only times she would be able to spend with Lucas was when they go for Martial arts classes and on weeknights when she would sleep over at Lucas’s home and go with him to work at Forrest Research Institute.   Nothing noteworthy happened at both places, with undercover bodyguards watching over her, those men with stalkerish behaviors had no way of getting close to her.   Henry’s effort all this time has been in vain, making him depressed. Alarm blared in the whole building. Chaos ensued.   As the men in uniform guided the prisoners to evacuate the building and gather outside, one jailer escorted a prisoner out who was now wearing one of the officer’s uniform.   “A car is waiting outside..” The jailer told him.   Osmond nodded, pushing down the anxiety down his gut.   He knows that he’s committing a crime now on top of what he has been sentenced before. But he was left with no choice.   A few days earlier, he received a call from Henry and was offered a deal he couldn’t refuse.   Now he took advantage of the commotion to follow through with his escape plan. He entered the passenger’s seat. Henry was already waiting for him in the driver’s seat.   Henry drove off quickly the moment Osmond closed the door, getting far away from the prison as fast as they could.  

The flushing of the toilet could be heard in the stalls of the women’s bathroom.   “That guy Quinn seems like an interesting character.” Diana chuckled.   Armie was telling her about what Quinn told her while they were at work. It turns out that Quinn has admired Lucas for a long time and was devastated to know that Lucas became engaged with a woman. For a long time, some people really believed the rumors that he wasn’t interested in the opposite sex. So many people’s worlds crumbled once the engagement was announced. They could only nurse their wounds with the thought that he was engaged to a goddess like Diana.   “He is.. He still wants to be addressed as Queen though.” Armie laughed. “Even the other employees are used to him by now.”   The two exited the bathroom after washing and drying their hands. They walked back to their group who was presently receiving their ordered dishes.  

The sound of the baby’s cry stirred Chantal from her daze.   She looked at the crib where Wyatt was and wondered when she would feel the so-called mother’s love. She thought it would just immediately come out as soon as she birthed the child. She thought that the moment she would see her son, she would fall head over heels for him. Her mom told her that her love for her son would grow as days go by as she gets to know him. But why is it that even now, she doesn't feel that so-called warmth whenever she looks at him.   All she saw is a small body who does nothing but drink milk, cry, sleep, poop and pee.   Perhaps it’s because he reminds her of Henry. His facial features are so similar to him. He’s like a mini version of Henry. But instead of good memories, she would remember the times he cheated on her, the video he was in, the death of her dad. It’s all the more reason why she can’t look at the child with loving eyes.
