Chapter 40

Allistar POV  I can feel myself waking up slowly, but I'm still too exhausted to open my eyes. I feel like I've been hit by a truck and then thrown through a meat grinder. My body has never sustained such severe injuries before so I know it's going to take awhile to recover any strength. While I'm here I might as well go over everything I remember to try and piece everything together. I know Raven got to safety, I got the shit beat out of me, and the man that did it is known as Alpha Cassius. I blacked out before anything else happened, but considering the fact that I can feel silver chains wrapped around my wrists means he probably took me and is holding me somewhere. The silver is affecting my healing ability which explains why I still like absolute shit. I can't contact my wolf while the silver is wrapped around my wrists, nevertheless my wolf can still contact the others and hopefully he can help. My injuries might be slowing hi

Chapter 41

Raven POV  Our goal right now is to find where Allistar is being held. Our first thought is that he is being held at the Blood Wolves pack where Cassius is the Alpha. It would be the safest place for him to hide out since he is surrounded by his entire pack and more than likely a lot of rogues as well. If he is being held there then that puts us at a serious disadvantage. We may be strong, agile, and have been training for this, but that doesn't mean we will come out of it successfully. They could easily just kill him the second they sense us within their pack grounds so the best bet is going in stealthy with the hopes of getting in and out not being detected by a single person or wolf. If we knew where Allistar was being held then we would have more of an advantage for this mission, but the fact that we can only guess he is in the dungeon on pack grounds we have never been to before means we are less likely for this to go smoothly.

Chapter 42

Raven POV  On our run around the packlands I couldn't help but notice the state of everyone here. The women were dirty and seemed to be malnurished to almost a severe extent. They were walking around with their heads down and looked to be carrying laundry and food. I haven't noticed a single child even with it being the middle of the day which is usually the perfect time fo rkids to be out playing. It's making me wonder if there are any children here at all and I honestly hope not with the state of the women here. The people of this pack look to be on the verge of death. The smaller males are greasy, unwashed, and covered in bruises.'Penelope, are you seeing this?' I can't help but ask.'Yea, these people look so beat down. I can't imagine what their lives are like here. I've never seen a more depressing pack in my life. It makes me sad for them. We have to help them somehow.' Penelope has always been on the more sens

Chapter 43

Allistair POV   It feels like I’m floating through pure darkness. I can’t feel anything around or under me and its starting to freak me out. Where am I and why can’t I see anything. Ok, let’s not panic and start thinking this through. For a second I cant even remember my name let alone what the fuck is going on then all of a sudden everything comes back in a rush. I’m in a dungeon on Blood Moon Pack territory where my supposed father and brother are keeping me hostage. Well this blows monkey balls.I need to get out of here before Raven and them come for me because I cant risk Cassius getting ahold of her. They should be untying me to take me to a room in the packhouse which means that’s when I have to escape. If I make it to the room then strong chance I won’t get an opportunity to escape and it will become near impossible for the others to reach me. I cant escape if I&r

Chapter 44

Raven POV  After hearing from Allistair that we only have about an hour left to get our plan into action, I call out to the others to meet back up near the pack house so we can regroup. On my way back to the meet up spot, I can't help, but wonder if our plan will actually work. I talked to everyone I could get my hands on and they all seem to want to get out of their situation and to a new pack, but the amount of fear that has been instilled into them worries me about our success rate. They all sat and heard me out about our plan and getting a new safe home which they are excited about, yet I couldn't help but notice how malnourished and weak they all were. A lot of them couldn't even reach their wolves with the state they are in. The plan needs to be adjusted or we are going to get a lot of people killed in our mission and that is not what we came here for. We are here to rescue Allistair and as many wolves as possible, not lead th

Chapter 45

Raven POV  We are about 5 minutes outside the Silver Claws pack and I swear to all that is holy, if we arrive and there is some sort of battle going on then I will lose my shit. I'm tired and honestly just want to go home or atleast have some sort of break between these pack visits. Most of our time at the Dark Moon pack were spent with Allistar and I both trying to fully heal from all the damage we sustained. The past couple months have been just back to back sever injuries for me and no matter how well I can handle pain, it isn't something I would go out of my way to find. I mean come on. I deserve a gods damn break at this point. The main things I have heard about the Alpha of this pack is that he is task focused and treats all the wolves in his pack with equality and respect regardless of their strength or gender. Of course, this could all be lies or a front he puts on for others to seem like a better Alpha or whatever me

Chapter 46

Allistar POV  The second we walk into our room, I notice there's an en suite bathroom so I don't even hesitate. I blindly throw my bag onto one of the beds and strip my clothes off on my way into the bathroom. I have my shirt and pants off by the time I walk through the bathroom door. All I can think about is taking a shower, so much so that I barely even glance at what the bathroom looks like. I slide my thumbs into the top of my boxers so I can take off the last thing holding me hostage against a shower right now. Before I can pull them off, I hear a noise on the other side of the bathroom and by chance decide to take a look thinking it's Dimitri. My eyes immediately catch onto bright green eyes and the only person I know with those eyes is currently looking me up and down. That can't be right though, Raven wouldn't be checking me out right now. Maybe she is just catch off guard by my near naked state. She finishes her perusal to

Chapter 47

Raven POV  I'm standing here in front of most of the pack, waiting for the Alpha so we can start our day of evaluations. I won't sit here and lie that I'm not stoked to see what the Alpha is capable of. I know when I choose to spar with the Alpha first before any evaluating that my people won't bat an eyelash, but his pack will probably get upset. Alpha is suppose to be the most formidable in battle so they will more than likely assume it will be an easy win especially against a smaller female like myself. I can't wait to crush their dreams of my defeat."Now that your Alpha is here, we will get started." I say looking at the Alpha. I let a smirk play on my lips before I continue. "First things first, I will be sparring with Alpha Samuel to show everyone the type of things we will be teaching and that regardless of your size, if you have the skill then you can easily take down an opponent bigger and stronger than you so don't

Chapter 48

Allistar POV  We are close to a week into training these new wolves and I can't help but love every second of it. For one, it is always a blast to watch Raven put people in their place and prove she is the one to be feared when they treat her like a weak little girl. For two, I can see in her eyes when she looks at me that the shower incident is still something she thinks about so I have been messing with her a bit. Nothing too obvious, but I make sure I take my shirt off at some point every day during training. Which, I do get sweaty and hot so I would take my shirt off anyway. It's just a lot more fun to make sure Raven sees me remove it and I try to stay within her eye line the whole time. To be fair, I can't get what she might look like under those clothes out of my head and honestly it isn't that hard to imagine. She pretty much only wears a sports bra and leggings that mold to her ass and legs every day. Everytime I check her

Chapter 49

Raven POV  After the shower incident last night, my brain has been a complete mess. Atleast it seems he is just as affected by me as I am by him. The tenting in his shorts was impressive to say the least. I wonder how long he was standing there watching me before I noticed him. Maybe after all this prophecy business is behind us I can look into exploring these feelings with him. Or not. There's no way the Goddess doesn't bless him with another mate. A better mate. He deserves someone to love him for the rest of his life. I wish I could hope for a happily ever after for all of us, but I know that is unrealistic."Does that sound good to everyone?" Dimitri's voice pulls me out of my thoughts. Shit, I wasn't listening. Everyone replies with sounds of agreement so I mimick them. I'll ask Penelope later when we are alone so I know what we are doing with this new developement we have to deal with. Guardians, ridiculous. Now
