Chapter 10

Raven POV  So, this is the Top Warrior from the Opal River pack. I don't even know his name and yet he calls me to the front to show me "basic moves'. If only he knew how well trained I actually am then he wouldn't be choosing to embarass himself right now. As far as I'm concerned his ignorance needs to be taught a lesson. This is going to be the most fun I've had in awhile. It is taking everything in me to keep a straight face instead of smirking like I would love to do."You know my name, but I don't know yours. I don't think that's very fair, do you?" I ask with the most innocent voice I can muster."You're right. It's not fair. My name is Allistar, I am the Top Warrior of the Opal River pack." No shit Sherlock. Goddess, men are so aggravating. "I was told she-wolves don't train in this pack so I'm wondering why you are here. I personally think all she-wolves should be trained and I'm hoping you can help me change t

Chapter 11

Raven POV     Today is the day I turn 18 and am able to find my mate. I'm not sure how to feel about the whole mate thing. It would be amazing to find my mate and be loved for the rest of my life, but at the same time I don't want a mate becasue he might be a bad person. I know that the Moon Goddess makes our mate the perfect other half of us so it would be crazy to think I'd have a horrible mate, but looking back on my life I don't seem to have the best luck. All I can do at this point is hope for the best and prepare for the worst. Penelope slept in my bed last night with me because she didn't think I should sleep alone the night before my birthday. She assumes my mate will be the one sleeping in my bed with me. She is so optomistic when it comes to love, but she doesn't realize how bad some mates can treat eachother. It's not all happily ever after all the time. She is so innocent and I hope for her sake that she gets a c

Chapter 12

Allistar POV  After finishing training I decided to just head back to the guest house and just take some time by myself. i know I put on a good front today looking like everything was ok. Like I wasn't being ripped apart from the inside, but you can only pretend for so long before you get tired. I wanted a chance to break down before Dimitri got back. I know I have to tell him when he gets back so for now I decide to shut my door and lock it. I take my workout shorts off and hop in a cold shower to cool down from the exhausting day I had. After probably only a couple minutes my first tear slides down my cheek, at this point I just let it all out. I'm not the only one feeling the lost hope, my wolf has been howling in my head since the rejection yesterday. He is more effected by the rejection than I am because the mate bond is through our wolves so they feel things 10 times worse than their human counterpart. Considering the pain I'm

Chapter 13

Raven POV  The second I step out the front door, I freeze. All I can smell is mint and chocolate which I know belongs to my mate, but if I'm beeing honest it's not as appealing as I thought it would be. Isn't your mate's scent supposed to be irresistable? There's only a moment where I question why he doesn't smell as good as I thought he would, but once I look up I understand why. Why he doesn't smell amazing to me, why he's been an asshole, why for some reason it hurt more when he would call me names like whore and slut. I get it now and I'm prepared for what's about to come. A part of me is still sad about it, but I'm sure that's my wolf or maybe it's because of what the future holds. Once my eyes meet his blue ones I hear my wolf yelling 'Mate'. Fuck."Well well well, I was told you turn 18 today so I thought I would come over and wish you a Happy Birthday." He has a sinister smirk on his face. He's known all along and sti

Chapter 14

Allistar POV  I wake up even more exhausted than the night before. I need to figure out a way to get some sleep or this is just going to get worse and I won't be any help in training the warriors. Waking up after a night plagued with dreams about the black wolf and its piercing green eyes is a nice change from the dreams about Heather. I'm not sure what to make of my new dreams or this wolf. I've never come across a wolf that looks like it so I'm assuming it's not someone I know or atleast not someone from my pack. I wonder who it is and why I'm dreaming about it. Usually an unknown wolf would put me on high alert, however this one almost makes me feel at peace. Like I've known it my whole life.I'll have to think about this later because right now I have training to get ready for. I focus back on reality and quickly throw on some black shorts and head to Dimitri's room to wake him up. He is almost always late waking up, neve

Chapter 15

Raven POV  Penelope pulled me away from Allistar, probably sensing how uncomfortable I was with the line of questioning. I knew my face would be noticed. I mean come on, my eye is slightly swollen with some purple coming through from the bruise that's forming and my nose is a little messed up. Thankfully it stopped bleeding before we got to training. Being a werewolf means I heal rather quickly, but it's not physically possible to heal within the 5 minutes it took to walk to the training grounds. I'm sure any evidence of what happened this morning will be gone within the next couple hours so I won't have to worry about anyone else questioning me about it. I can't believe this is how my birthday started. Your 18th birthday is suppose to be the happiest day of your life because you are finally able to find your mate. I've always got the short end of the stick when it comes to everything, however I thought my mate would be the one good

Chapter 16

Allistar POV  I had Penelope and Raven start sparring eachother before the other warriors get back. I want to see what Penelope can do. With Raven's skills I'm sure Penelope has got to be good or atleast have potential if Raven is helping her train. I have nothing against the lower ranks in a pack, but it is so rare for an Omega to train, let alone be good. Most packs train females to become warriors. Ragardless of gender, Omegas just don't train. It's pointless due to them being the weakest wolves of the pack so they take care of cooking and cleaning. They just aren't physically capable of becoming warriors, which is making me question whether Penelope is a born Omega or something happened where she was demoted to Omega. After watching for about 20 minutes and noticing how she is just barely less skilled than Raven, a warriors daughter."Penelope, Raven. Can you guys come here for a minute?" I can't help my curiosity, I have

Chapter 17

Raven POV  Nothing else of interest happened to me for the rest of the day. After the talk with Allistar, we just focused on weapons training which is my favorite. I've mastered a few weapons, but my favorite would have to be my katanas. There's just something about a weapon that holds so much grace while being extremely deadly that brings such unbridled joy to me. Penelope's weapon of choice is an axe and I have to say it was hilarious to watch the shock and confusion on Allistar and Dimitri's faces when she used it with such precision. Honestly she is absolutely flawless with her axe and she always holds a huge smile on her face when she uses it. I mean really think about seeing a small she-wolf running at you carrying an axe with  smile on her face. That would be a terrifying site as an enemy, but as her friend I think it's the funniest shit ever.Once we got back to my house Penelope made me eat an insane amount of f

Chapter 18

Allistar POV  It's been a week since Raven's birthday and well it's safe to say something is going on with her. Honestly it would be difficult to miss. The day after her birthday she was a little on edge, but that was barely noticeable. When I asked her if something was wrong she told me everything was fine. There was no way I would be able to miss the fear and worry in her eyes. I tried to question Penelope about what was going on and even that was a dead end, which means something is definitely going on. She isn't as capable of keeping things to herself so for her to be able to lie while looking me in the eyes means something serious happened.Raven didn't start to act bizzare until a few days after that. She seemed almost paranoid of everything. There was no focus on her training what so ever, she just kept looking around everytime she heard a mans voice. She doesn't seem the type of person to be paranoid or not foc

Chapter 19

Raven POV  I don't know how to explain the level of fear going through my body on a constant basis. I can't focus on training and I jump everytime I hear a mans voice. It's getting so bad that my paranoia is rubbing off on Penelope so she has been less than nice to everyone. She knows what happened a few days after my birthday so since then she has pretty much moved into my house with me. We need to get out of this pack and run, but going it as rogues would be difficult especially as she-wolves. She-wolves don't tend to last long as rogues, they are either killed or kidnapped and raped. We may be great warriors, but after time our strength will weaken without a pack to attach ourselves to and at that point we would become bigger targets. Especially since I wouldn't be able to shift around others and she hasn't turned 18 yet so she doesn't have her wolf.I found out who ended up seeing my wolf. Turns out it was the worst perso
