Prologue

     The Night was already in its deepest when Randell finally found the mansion of the keepers deep inside the forest. He makes his way through the forest as only the light from the full moon and stars guide him without any visual road or pathway to be seen. A few more feet ahead, he can view the forest ending into a clearing. Distant dim lights glow from windows on the Mansion up ahead. Quietly he lurks carefully in the shadows as he moves slowly closer and closer to the mansion.      The closer he gets, the more excited he feels from his veins. He cannot contain it anymore, he knows that the book is located inside waiting for him, calling for him. what powers lie within its pages he wonders, What gifts it can bestow on him? Chapter 1

    Zackary Pogromca Rang the doorbell once. He is standing at the front door of the house of his best friend Ezekiel Hernandes, fetching him so that they could go to school together. He looks at the clock on his phone. Well, it’s still early, they still have time, he said to himself. They will definitely make it in time before the bell rang. That is if Zeke would hurry up.     “Coming, Hang on!” Zeke shouts from inside.     Opens the door hoisting his backpack, Zeke meets him. “Mom we going now!” Zeke shouts back. Chapter 2

    “There’s two of them at the front entrance with Rick,” Zeke said to him, closing the door silently behind him. They are now Hiding in the library after the bell rang signaling the end of classes for the day. He then commanded Zeke to scout the entrance while he goes to the east exit, then both boys agreed to meet in the library.                 “There are 3 of his buddies covering the east exit, so I take a look back exit going to the football field. It seems they did not think to send a guard there, they have not thought that we can jump over the fence.” He said     After what they did previously, accidentally spilling the whole jug of juice to Rick. Chapter 3

    Ezekiel did not imagine spending his night in the woods being bait to a few members of their Schools football varsity. He walks alone on the dirt road heading to Devils Dive, holding his smartphone in front of him, using it as a flashlight. it’s located deep inside the Darkshine woods just at the edge of town. Devils Dive is a famous hangout for teenagers during summertime. Kids regularly held parties at the clearing beside the river on the bottom of the waterfall. The waterfall stands 70 feet high and people (mostly kids and drunk teenagers) usually jump from the top of the waterfall just for fun and adrenaline. If this is one of those regular days when school is out he should be hearing the sounds of music and kids chatting from a party around perhaps a bonfire. However, Tonight there is no party, no music, no bonfire. It’s a regular weekday and Kids are not allowed to have a party on Devil's dive during schooldays. Chapter 4

     Jonathan spent the whole day hiding in the wooded hills at the edge of Crowsdale valley. He cannot risk walking in the open while it’s daytime. Who knows what spies Randell has sent in the skies, to find him. On a normal day, if he was given at least a couple of minutes to prepare, he could easily have brought an item or spell for this kind of situation. However, due to the recent events, he does not possess any means to conceal himself during daylight. He decided to wait till the sun sets on the horizon. It’s still early morning, there is still time for him to rest and recuperate. He surveyed the woods for a couple of minutes found a huge tree that he can rest on. He circled the tree surveying the area, then he made his move on surrounding the foot of the tree-filled with sigils and traps, when he finished, at least 20 feet in diameter from the tree are now filled with sigils on the ground. Chapter 5

Randell stands Still for quite a while, shocked. He can’t believe that Jonathan will imprison himself inside the book. Why would he do that? What is that he is planning? Knowing Jonathan, every action that he made -even in the face of adversity- always leads to something. He can’t believe it, somehow Jonathan still outwitted him even in the last second, just when he thought that he already got him, but he is mistaken. No matter, he thought, even though Jonathan escaped him, in the end, he still left the book. Never him, whatever he is planning, I can deal with it later, for now, what matters is he got the book.    He approached the book, it is now laying in the ground after Jonathan was sucked inside it. He crouched down and picked it up carefully, savoring the moment. At last, the book is his, the 3rd Seal has been broken. This is it, his victory, all of his preparation, his planning, it all leads to this, him acquiring the book.

Chapter 6

    It’s another busy day at the mall, Damon thought to himself while driving. Damon Pogromca works at a shoe store at Crowsadale valley mall, out of high school, and has not decided yet if he wanted to go to college or not, besides, he has not deiced what course he could pick or what he wanted to do with his life. After the end of his shift, he closed shop, meets with his girlfriend Ashley who is just waiting for him outside the stall, then both of them went to dinner at the nearest pizza parlor that stays open at night.     They eat pizza and chat for a while spending some quality time with each other. This is usually a regular day for Damon, nothing out of the ordinary, then they got back into his car so he can Drive Ashley home. Chapter 7

   They ran from the upcoming horde of werewolves using the truck as an escape vehicle, Jill covered their escape by shooting crossbow bolts at any werewolves that still tries to pursue them, the stranger stands beside her spear in front of him, ready if any werewolves get too close to the truck.    Until finally, the werewolves stopped chasing them, no more signs of wolves anywhere, they have gotten tired of pursuing them.    Onwards their mom still kept on driving, they have left Crowsdale a few moments ago, however, they did not stop, their mom still kept driving.    On the back of the truck, the boys sat there resting, exhausted from their escape, Damon clutching his left shoulder with his right lets out an “Sssss.” When they hit a bump on the road.    Zac was first to notice “Damon?     Zachary Pogromca woke up the next day, saw the wooden ceiling of the bedroom of the cabin, where their family escaped to last night, pursued by the werewolves.
