The next morning Gemma woke up and found Skye in her bed. Her daughter must've come and climbed in somewhere during the night. She smiled and climbed out softly so as not to wake her. Skye could still sleep for at least another hour before she needed to get up. Gemma could not help but wonder why Skye came to her room. She usually only does that when she is scared. Chapter Twelve

The next morning Gemma woke up with bit of a stiff neck. She wasn't used to sleeping on the couch anymore she thought as she rubbed her neck. But she wouldn't trade these precious times with her daughter for anything in the world. She went to the kitchen to put on the kettle and saw it was six thirty and she wondered what time Grant would be coming by. Chapter Fifteen

Gemma woke up feeling relaxed and happy. She looked at her phone and there was a message from Grant, and Nicky… Grant said the usual sweet good night and hoped she will dream of him, how cheesy, Gemma thought to herself and smiled. Nicky left a few messages. Gemma read through them carefully and she immediately phoned her best friend. “Nicky, are you ok??” Gemma felt concerned and needed to hear her voice. “Hi Gemma, I am ok. Gemma woke up the next morning with a message on her phone from Grant as well as a missed call from him. She smiled while she read it and replied. It wasn't long and her phone rang. The next morning Gemma woke up, feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. She felt she could take on the world with Grant by her side and she felt content. Chapter Eighteen

The flight went by very quickly as Gemma and Grant spoke almost non-stop. It was amazing how comfortable she felt with him, and it was as if they had known each other for years. They landed in Canada and there was a big black SUV waiting for them at the airport. It was an hour's drive to the cottage, and they arrived just before dark. As Gemma came into the bathroom, the candles were lit again and there was a soft fragrance hanging in the air. Grant was already in the big bath, laying back with his eyes closed.
