Two days later, Angel was sitting at her desk, her fingers running over her lips, her thoughts still focused on what Damian had told her.  Right after he had said that, she had taken him home and nothing more was said.  But he had told her when, not if, they were together; when, so a promise.  And Lord help her, that was a promise she was wanting him to keep!                 And she had always thought that domineering men would be something she couldn’t stand, that for her, she needed men to bow to her whim, not the other way around.  But she wouldn’t lie, his words, how they were spoken, had her body pinning for more, and soon.  Now she was smart enough to know that it was only that man that brought that out, that no one else ever could or would.  And deep down, a place where she didn’t want to examine too closely, told her that made him special and made just for her.

Angel still saw see red as she drove down the street, her mind frazzled over that encounter. That wasn’t like her dad, which was why she was all the more confused. And again, had that been anyone but him, they would have paid dearly for it. More than likely, she would have cut off their tongue or hands. Though she had no problem beating anyone into respecting her, family included, she struggled to do that with her dad, never once thinking he would be so disrespectful.But she knew deep down, where she didn’t want to admit, that he could be the one person she wouldn’t touch. Inside, Damian swore at the feel of her lips against his. He knew she didn’t like people going behind her back, and he honestly didn’t blame her. He also didn’t want to be the one to tell her, and hadn’t expected her to come right and ask about the deal with Rosa. In hindsight, he should have known better, should have known that she wasn’t the type of female, or sister, to let Rosa get hurt. Of course, she would deny herself if that meant her sister wouldn’t feel pain. It was a trait he admired in her. He wrapped his arms tighter around her and lifted her up, her legs locking around his waist as his hands moved to cup her ass. Angel walked down the hallway to her office, her pencil skirt giving her the bit of power she was feeling. She had no clue how to address her dad, but she knew that she’d have to. Now, after resting for a day in body and mind, she knew she would have to say something. Hopefully, in private, but she wasn’t above making her dad a public issue among the men either. She sat down at her desk and took a sip of her coffee before starting up her computer. She had some final details she needed to go over before she dealt with her dad though. Once her computer was going, she logged into her files, pulling up some statements for the clubs. After fifteen minutes though, a knock on her door caused her to look up. “Dad?” she said, looking at the sheepish man standing before her. “May I come in, Angelina?” She really wanted to say no because she wasn’t ready to deal with him but instead, she waved her hand for him to enter. “Please have a seat.”
