Creed parked the car in my campus parking lot. We got out of the car and he cracked his back, his bones making a sickening crunch sound. He looked around at the students and then at me. It had been three days since our trip to Phoenix. It felt good to see Kris again. Creed and I never spoke about what our relationship meant after that day. I knew his reasons for trying not to get too close to me but every time I saw him I felt my body gravitate to him. It's like I had blinders when he was in my line of vision I focused on nothing but him and for a moment he looked at me the same until he came back to a sense of reality and walked away.
