Another Mixed

Leticia's joy was uncontrollable. She jingled like bubbles in a wine glass as she went about getting ready to leave with Liam. Today she would take the step to get closer to her brother, Liam had assured her of that. It had been an internal war in herself staying idle and not being able to go out to search for him herself. How long had it been since her brother had been missing? It almost did not matter now because they were heading out to find him, they would be going to see another renegade Angels whom Liam had called Sheila. She believed, with full conviction in her heart, that if her brother was with this renegade Angel Sheila, then she was confident of his safety as Liam trusted her whole heatedly."How do we know where Sheila will be?" Leticia asked curiously, applying an extravagant amount of asphax on her arms, face and legs.Liam fixed his eyes on her as he watched her. "Don't you think you should calm down with the asphax?""Huh?" He looked u

The Escape

"And what might you be?" The Nadri had thrown the question to Leo, his eyes fixed on the teenager. Sheila's horse bobbled its head, unable to stay steady, maybe it knew that finding a Nadri, or rather, running into one in the middle of the forest was a sign of danger."Is it not obvious?" Sheila defended. She tried as much as she could to keep her horse in between the Nadri and Leo who remained quiet and observant but the powerful beast she was on would not just stay put. She could hear the fleeting thoughts running through his mind and knew that he had no clue as to how dangerous and fast this short conversation could turn deadly. Sheila was ready for anything."No?" The Nadri spoke. "It is not so obvious."Sheila reached for her sword discreetly, grabbing hold of the hilt. "And what are you trying to imply by saying that?"The Nadri leaned to the side so he could get a better look at Leo and he asked. "Are you hurt?"Sheila turned to look at Leo

More Surprises

"It is either you are trying to protect her or it is that you do not know what she is. So which one is it renegade?" Dan asked Liam.He was some how surprised, did the renegade Angel really not know that the human he was with was a mixed blood? Or was he just pretending not to know so that he could try to protect her from him. He smirked, any how it was, he was going to leave only when he had the human in his possession. She was going to be his trophy to rub into the faces of those elders who had though Scott to be higher and more skilled than he was, and he was going to brag about that's most especially to the other dying Arch angel and he would very much up his price. Oh, he was going to get all he wanted with just one frail mixed blood in front of him, he just had to get rid of this obstacle. He had to kick Liam to the side then he would be able to have her.Liam shifted his head slightly toward Leticia but never took his eyes off the Nadri, with his brows pe

Rivalry

"Luck was on your side Dan, that you encountered a mixed blood almost immediately." An elder spoke up in praise of Dan. "But she had Liam with her, that renegade Angel has been on the radar of many creatures. He has himself a lot of enemies." Another completed.Dan smirked and side eyed Scott who had remained quiet all through. He had found a mixed blood first while Scott had been rubbing elbows with the corrupted Arch Angel who had shown less favour towards him, but now he was sure that the tables would turn. He would be the one on demand now. He focused back on the elders."You said, he did not know what she was at first? He did not know that she was a mixed blood?" The elders asked Dan.He puffed up a little before replying. "That is correct, he did not know what she was.""And how were you able to find her so quickly?""She was bleeding, resulting from the fight she was in with the demons who had attached them. I could smell her blood and I tr

The Dreams

The heavens gave a cry of dissatisfaction, threatening to burst open the floor gates despite the rain that had soaked the ground few hours ago. Asides from the constant thunder that roared, bringing with it flashes of electricity racing across the heavy grey clouds which loomed above, all was calm, cold and silent... or so it seemed. The stars had fled and the moon was not to be seen in the sky as the heavy grey clouds had taken their place, moving slowly as the wind wished them to, and bringing with it, the cry of the wolves from across the mountains. She shivered as fear registered in her heart. She did not know where she was, it was lonely and it was deserted, she stood in the middle of an abandoned town which she did not remember coming into. Sure looked left and right, wrapping the cloak around her body for some sort of protection, her sword was not with her, there was nothing around which she could use as a weapon, not even a log of wood or a stone big enough. Meeting Again

Leo had been unable to sleep throughout the night in the mountain after their encounter with the half Nadri. He had been worried for Sheila who, for the first time since he knew her, had shown weakness, which made him to wonder what exactly must have happened between her and the Nadir in the forest after he had escaped. He had stayed awake, watching her sleep soundly and had made two trips to the stream to get her some water and back up to the mountain. The water had helped a lot.Now as he watched her get ready to fly back down into the forest, he could almost not believe that she had been the same Angel who had been so weak and unable to walk properly last night. She had woken up first even before him this morning and was her regular strong self, telling him that she would be going back into the forest to get back his cloak which she had dropped last night."I do not understand why you need to go back." Leo protested against Sheila leaving the mountains to the forest to

More Dreams

Liam made his way to the stream after a conflicting decision to leave Leticia behind at his place, but he needed the water from the stream for Leticia's wounds. They were not healing but rather they made her sick.As he dropped down to the ground and went into the water, his mind went back to what had happened last night, he was still unable to explain how it had happened but he knew for a certain that something was wrong. It was all wrong.* * * * *Liam had still been awake when he had heard a cry of pain that night, it was a cry calling out his name in utmost desperation. That voice had belonged to Leticia. He had bolted upright immediately and ran into the house and into the room, only for him to be met with an empty bed. Leticia was not here. She was gone. Again the voice called out for him and he raced out of the house, taking to the skies even before his feet could touch the ground. He followed the voice, flying closer to the forest and feelin

A Painful Reunion

Sheila and Liam who had quietly been watching Leticia, saw her fall and on impulse, they both reached for her immediately to catch her from falling. Liam caught her quickly and carried her in his arms, placing her back gently on the bed "Liam, I do not think that the water would do much for her." Sheila said as she stroked the girl's hair, she was very worried for her."The injury sizzles when it comes in contact with the water." Liam said and Leticia stared at him in surprise and shock. She watched him twist the cap off the bottle and pour the water on Leticia's wounds, it sizzled like it was boiling and Leticia gasped and wiggled in pain."Liam..." Sheila called, her lips trembling a little."If it sizzles, then it means that it is cleaning off the wound but it has been quite a while since she had the injury. How long would this take?" He asked Sheila but she was not exactly thinking of that right now."The water only repells demons and anything unclean." She s

The Revelation

Liam focused his attention on Leticia who laid motionless on the bed asides from her heaving chest as she struggled to breathe. Her body was no longer warm to the touch, her skin was pale and her slightly parted lips were a shade of blue, her eye lids quavered in her attempt to keep them open. Liam clasped her hand in his and brought it up to his chest, as he watched her, he could see Sharon, his human and he could see Phidian, the demon girl she had become. He battled in his mind to stop himself from imagining Leticia as a demon girl. He was going to save her at all cost and he would never allow what had happened to Sharon to ever happen to Leticia. There was only one place he could think of to take her to. Only one person he could think of that could help him and in all honesty, he wished there was another better option."There is one place I have in my head to take her to." Liam suddenly spoke up, not looking at anyone but Leticia."Where?" Sheila and Leo had chorused,

Snitching

Liam watched the demon retreat away from him slowly with a look of shock on his face and he knew immediately that something was not alright. He had seen something concerning Leticia, something disturbing and it pricked on Liam's curiosity. He wanted to know. He needed to know."What did you see?" He asked."You can not save her Liam." He said matter of factly. "There is no way you can save her. She will become a demon and there is nothing you or anyone can do about that." He walked back into the darkness of the house when he finished speaking, leaving Liam standing clueless with the girl in his arms.Liam looked down at Leticia who still whimpered in his arms and  his heart broke but he did not believe what Krane had said to him. There was a way to help her, there was a way to cure her and he would find it. He would not allow her go just the way Sharon had left him. He turned around and heading for the door, out of Krane's dark house.* * * * *Ben sh
