POV RioOne thing that I hate about school is the monotony. I hate being in places where nothing happens. I need action to survive, either the bass of music resonating in my ears, loud enough to burst my hearing or the wild scream of a frantic crowd when two opponents are inside the arena, their fists about to collide with each other's face.  I have a fight scheduled for tonight.  Davis promised me a beautiful amount if I win but he knows very well that I never do it for the money. POV RioWhen I arrive at the bar there are only a few clients present.  But I know that there's always a crowd craving flesh blood in the arena below. I go straight to the counter. Spencer is pouring a shot to another customer who's sitting on a stool. As soon as he notices me approaching the expression on his face changes. He never approves when I come around here. His allure is quite intimidating with his full sleeve tattoos on both arms and his side swept undercut that accentuates his severe expression. There’s a cross earring dangling on his left earlobe."Hey, is Davis down there?" I ask when I reach him. 

 POV Noralyn I should have never come. I walk out of the warehouse, my heart beating fast in my chest as if it could sense the danger following, I know that this night is gonna be one where my nightmares come back again to haunt me. I might still be powerless against my demons, however those four jerks that are following me I can handle them. I pretend not to notice that they are after me and engage in a dark alley that has no exit then when I turn around to retrace my steps, there they are waiting for me.“I told you we’d meet again soon, didn’t I?” The tallest of them walks forward leaving his friends behind. He probably thinks that his big muscles are enough to intimidate me.“And I told you that this second encounter wouldn’t go well for you.”

 POV Noralyn Hospital food tastes horrible. I barely take two bites before I put my fork down and push my plate aside. Kline and I are in the cafeteria, we decided to grab a bite before we hit the road again since our lunch was interrupted back at school. My mother has already called me and to say that she wasn’t happy that I’m out of town would be a euphemism. “How did it go?” Kline asks with concern in his voice.“Well, it could have been worse. POV Noralyn When I wake up my heart is beating wildly inside my chest and I'm all sweaty. There's a strange noise coming from outside, like a repeated pounding and for a moment I think that I'm hallucinating or that it's simply the sound of my beating heart that has been magnified in my panic, until I realize that in fact there's someone knocking at my door. I stand like a robot, still not totally woken up from the nightmare I just had and open the door. Rio is standing in front of me, a strange expression on his face and I cannot for the life of me figure out what he's doing at my house at 3AM.
