Matthew and Susan finished their meals after everyone else had already left. They picked up the plates and put them in the sink to be washed. Susan and Matthew stood side by side at the sink, scrubbing and rinsing the dishes together. Matthew was quicker and more efficient in doing his chore than Susan. “You know, we used to always do chores back in our house.” Susan started speaking. “Excuse me, our house? When the hell did you live with me?” Matthew asked. Susan chuckled. “Haha, we were in an.. Academy, I guess. You, me, Megat and a bunch more other kids. Our batches were divided into houses and we were in the same house.” Susan paused to put a plate on the rack. “As any school goes, they tend to make students do chores here and there. You would always volunteer and Megat and I would get dragged with you.” “Oh, uhh sorry about that.”
