Chapter 1.

Life is good. Life is perfect. I can't wish for anything more. I'm happy. A sigh left my lips as I laid down beside my handsome boyfriend, Jason. Today is our anniversary and I plan to make it a memorable one.I’m giving my virginity to Jason. Jason and I have been dating for almost two years now, he's the most caring guy I've ever met. It’s about time I do that to show him I appreciate him cause I do.I remember how we met like yesterday;"Shit" I cursed under my breath realizing how late I am. I really hate mornings, I mean I've always hated them but I think my hate just got worse. I ran hoping to make a journey of 15 mins shorter. I bumped into some wall or rather, someone."Fuck, I'm sorry.” He said.I shook my head muttering "It’s okay". He bent down to help me gather my assignments that are now littered all over the floor. He handed them over to me and I felt myself being

Chapter 2.

It's been two weeks.Two weeks since I received that horrible news, Two weeks since I lost my parents and my brother. My parents, Alyssa & Alexander Wright are the best parents any kid can ever ask for. Even after 30 years of marriage, they are still very much in love. My family is wealthy, my dad is the CEO of the Wright's enterprises. My mom is one of the best interior designers in the country, she's really respected and together they're known as the golden couple. They have 3 kids- Ian Wright, Liam Wright and I.We were rich but very humble. My mom is from a very poor family, she was bullied all her life and she vowed to teach her kids how to always respect and help anyone in need. We didn't go to elite school like most rich kids, we lived a very normal life.When I was seventeen, I had an accident and lost most memories from my childhood. I was on my way home from the library, I didn't see the pregnant

Chapter 3.

 Luke left the hospital around 3pm with Liam. He asked to take care of him for the day, which I don't really mind at all. In fact, I needed the space.I stayed in the hospital for 2 more hours before finally going home. Seeing my uncle today actually lifted my spirit a little.When I got home, the door was slightly opened making me wonder what happened. I do remember locking it before leaving. Walking in, I felt my heart beating really fast in fear. The house is empty, no sign of anything suspicious. Walking into Jason and I’s bedroom, I noticed something was off. The suitcase Jason used when we first moved in was missing. I checked the closet and I noticed his things gone.What could possibly be wrong? Where is he? Did he travel without telling me? I took my phone from my back pocket wanting to give him a call.Unlocking it, I see a voicemail from him. With trembling hands, I clicked on it and brought the phon

Chapter 4.

"Don't even dare say it.” I snapped at Luke who has a smug smile on his face. "I didn’t even say anything." He said. "Yeah but I'm sure you were planning to.”I said just as the elevator dinged and we stepped out of the elevator. I saw a guy that looked to be in his mid-twenties behind the front desk. He has a beautiful pair of hazel eyes and blond hair that he styled perfectly with gel. He looks cute. I gave him a smile and he smiled back. "Jonah, this is McKenna Wright. She's the one replacing Ian for the time being. Kenny, that's Jonah. Ian's personal assistant." Luke said. "Hi, Ms.Wright. Please, accept my condolences. I look forward to working with you.” Jonah said giving me a handshake. I took his hand in a gentle handshake. "Thank you. Pleasure meeting you, Jonah. I hope we'll work well together" He nodded. L

Luke excused himself while I made my way to my office. The meeting officially starts in 10 minutes, I've got to be prepared. I plan on making a good impression. A knock on the door brought me out of my thoughts."It's time, Ma'am, they just arrived and are waiting in the conference room." He said."Really, Jonah? Ma'am? Seriously?" I asked with my eyebrow raised. He smiled."Just call me McKenna." I said and waved my hand to dismiss him."But..." He said."Don't worry, I’ll be there in a minute." I said. He nodded and left.I looked around the office and sighed. There's no going back now. If I plan to make my parent proud, I have to do it the right way and learn to trust myself. This is step one to greatness. Please, guide me mom and dad. I need your strength, Ian. I took all the documents I needed, my laptop and my phone. I took a deep breath and stepped out

Chapter 6.

It’s official; today is the longest day ever. I spent all my spare time going through different projects that are yet to be completed and a few that were left unattended. I have never felt so stiff in my life. I just need a nice, hot and steamy bubble bath and my bed right now. Lucas called a moving company to help move our stuffs to Ian’s penthouse after seeing how tired I was. I’ll help lessen your stress anyway I can, I remembered him saying before he went to Liam’s school. Although I’m pretty sure he did all that so he could escape helping me with the work Ian left in the office. A sigh left my lips as I felt the headache coming in. I leaned back on my seat bringing my finger to my temple, pressing it slightly hoping to reduce the slight pain in my head. My phone ringing snapped me out of it. Reaching for it,I answered without looking at the caller ID;

Chapter 7.

I laid down on the bed ready to pass out any moment. Dinner ended 30 minutes ago. Liam fell asleep 10 minutes later, I had to carry him to his room after Luke left. That boy is growing so fast. Before Luke left, he showed me everywhere I needed to know in the house. Thankfully, he managed to arrange most of our things before I got home. He even chose our rooms, claiming he knew I and Liam’s taste, and I got to say he was right about everything.I guess he’s not that useless after all, even though I know Vicky had a lot to do with that. Speaking of Vicky, I got to know a lot more about her during dinner. She seems like a nice person. She works in a magazine publishing company, apparently she loves taking pictures. I saw some of her photos and I must say they all are fantastic. A cold breeze swept around the room reminding me that the window is opened but I’m too tired to stand up to c

Chapter 8.

I got to the office exactly around 5 minutes to 8am. For some reason, I’m thankful I wasn’t late. I walked into the building feeling slightly nervous. My first meeting as an acting CEO didn’t go too well. I wondered what they’d think about that; will they think I’m some daddy’s girl who doesn’t deserve the luck she got? I know yesterday was a failure but that doesn’t make me a bad leader. I just hope they’re willing to take a chance on me. “Good morning, McKenna. Running late again?” Tony asked with a small smile on his face. “Hi, Tony. Yeah, something came up that made me lose track of time. Again.” I said.” Weren’t you here last night? Why’re you still here?” “Uhh, I have a double shift this morning but aside from that, today’s the day we meet the new boss. I’m pretty curious, y&r

Dixon’s POV.She’s even more beautiful than I remembered.My first love. My best friend.McKenna Maven Wright.She has grown into a very beautiful and strong woman. I’m more than proud of her. She doesn’t remember though but I still have memories of us that I’ll always cherish and hold dear to my heart.I remember when I saw her again after 14 years. That day she crashed into me at the lobby. My day started like every normal day until I saw her.“Here’s your coffee, sir.” My assistant, Jonathan said. I nodded going through the papers scattered on my desk. “Do I have anything special for today,Jon?” “Yes, sir … actually you need to go to Wright Enterprises. You have a board’s meeting there for 10am today.”
