Legacy World 7.24 Life with Ward

Zira breathed in deep and slow then stepped forward to choose her meal. However, the other Darkfire voluntarily pushed the alpha's body towards her. Their eyes seemed almost reverent when they looked at her.  She lightly coughed then thanked them awkwardly. However, they still did not dig in yet. /It's just another form of livestock./ She told herself as she bit into the alpha's corpse and tore a chunk of meat off. Once she did, Ward picked Moss to eat, then the other Darkfire wolves literally jumped at the bodies littered on the ground to feast. There was enough to also stuff the omega's belly full.  Time crawled by after their confrontation with the Evergreen pack. When her heat cycle had ended, Ward did not ask to mate with her again. Even so, Ward kept up their intimacy with his frequent rubbing and grooming. No other packs arrived to challenge them. There was no territorial war like what Ward and Zira faced when they

Legacy World 7.25 Good News?

Everyone ate their fill then returned to lounging around again. Ward continued to give Zira some space.  [Zira?] /Saw something funny again?/ Zira guessed from BaoBao's excited tone.  [Not exactly funny, but I think it’s awesome!] Zira laughed a little as she let herself be entertained by BaoBao. /Okay… What is it this time?/ [You're pregnant!] BaoBao’s voice went a little shrill in his excitement. Zira froze. She did not breathe nor move a muscle. BaoBao silently praised himself for choosing the right time to break the news. Not a single wolf suspected a thing. [Isn't this great? You finally lived long enough to start a family with Ward! This is a first! Oh, well, if you discount your adoptive experience from the fourth world.]

Legacy World 7.26 You Are You

The next time she woke up, Zira felt completely refreshed. She did not remember having any sort of dream. /Wow. I must have been really worn out./  “Feeling better?” Ward whispered.  Zira nodded. Feeling the movement by her belly, she looked down and got reminded that she was now a mother.  “Here.” Ward passed her a generous serving of fresh meat that was still warm.  “Thank you.” Zira thanked him with a heart full of warmth. Her tail lightly tapped the ground. “You eat too. Then, like you said, it’s time for you to rest.”  Ward chuckled lightly. “I will.”  While they dug in, Zira’s mind gradually wandered back to the ominous feeling she had before falling asleep. Later while Ward slept, she silently stared at the puppies snoozing by her belly. They

Legacy World 7.27 Together

The battle spanned the entire duration that the sun was in the sky. The blood soaked fur of the wolves masked the variety of colours that were actually present. The scent of blood was so strong that one could taste it in their mouths. The deafening noises had died down as the remaining intruders fled the scene. One of which was the Evergreen wolf that Zira made sure to keep alive, so that she would witness her failure. The wolf ran with her tail between her legs and her ears flat against her head. "Don't be a party pooper." Zira quipped as she reached the Evergreen wolf in one leap, crushing her hopes of escape in an instant. Ward followed up with a kick to the wolf's head which immediately decapitated her.  Zira then shouted at the rest who scrambled to get as far away from them as possible, “Come again soon!” “Zira.” Ward's voice was thick with worry. Zira tried to grab his hand but he dodged it. “I&rsquo

Legacy World 7.28 The Search For An Antidote

After Neoma was done updating them, she continued to share with Zira all the things she did in the time that they were apart. She talked on and on even though Zira gave her little encouragement to continue. Neoma knew that Zira was just not a chatty and lively wolf. So, as long as Zira did not utter a word of complaint, Neoma did not feel the need to stop. This worked in Zira's favour. Her pack’s attention turned away from Neoma. She never did stand out in the eyes of the main cast either. These gave Zira, who stood by Neoma, some room to act. Zira did not let a single plant go undiscovered as long as she could help it. Every plant, dull or striking, she swiped it up, sometimes needing a little sleight of hand to keep from anyone noticing. Understanding how different plants had different parts valuable to it, she was careful to ingest flowers, leaf, and root separately. Each time she placed them in her mouth, BaoBao analysed it for her.

BaoBao's Origin 7 The Only One For Me

Luna opened her eyes and saw the plain ceiling dimly lit by the pink glow outside the window. It was the most peaceful and painless death she had thus far, as if she simply went to sleep, only to wake up in a completely different place, no, dimension.  “BaoBao, are the results out?” Luna turned her head to look at BaoBao who laid on his belly beside her, with his head on his palms.  “Mm!” He nodded with a wide grin plastered on his face. “It’s PERFECT! An SS grade for our performance and evaluation! Again, you contributed to our library of knowledge, so you get to redeem an additional A ranked item! I don’t think this last bit’s very worth it though. All that taste testing at the cost of your health for an A-ranked item...” BaoBao ended off a little sulkily.  Luna pursed her lips and looked at him apologetically. “I’m sorry for being stubbor

Legacy World 8.1 Free To Leave

The first thing that Luna came conscious to was the feel of a hand groping her chest. Another hand was making its way down her stomach. Her hands flew to grab her assailant’s wrists as she sprung up from the hard cold platform that she was lying on.  “You’re awake.” Her assailant spoke coolly as if he was expecting her reaction. This ticked Luna off. He seemed to know that his advances were not welcomed, but he still did it anyway. Her grip tightened and his flesh turned white from the lack of blood flow.  “Are you sure you want to do that? Or are you still half asleep?” He asked in the same cool tone. Luna frowned a little and studied him from head to toe. He was equipped in some kind of black military gear that had a lot of compartments for what seemed to be medical equipment. The Red Cross on his shoulder pad confirmed her suspicion that he was medical personnel. She immed

Legacy World 8.2 Mission Mamba

“Leader Angie, feeling better?” Four young men in the same uniform as her surrounded her bed. All of them had decent looks and moderate builds.  “Mm.” Angie sat up and swung her foot off the bed to talk to them properly. “I can join you all for lighter training tomorrow.”  Their faces lit up like golden retrievers.  “We got so worried when that porcupine appeared beneath you out of nowhere!” “Ya, you’ve been having real bad luck recently.”  “And there’s that upcoming mission...”  “That’s going to be our most dangerous mission…” “I’m not looking forward to it. I don’t have much confidence.” “What’re you guys so worried about? I may have bad luck but ha

Legacy World 8.3 Cutie Pies

"Leader Angie! Good morning!" Her team joyously greeted her as they trotted towards her.Angie nodded in acknowledgement and greeted them back. “Morning.” "You're very early." One of them commented. "Figured that I should do a little more since I'm not working as hard today." She explained half-heartedly in the midst of her dynamic stretches. Her eyes were drawn towards Elias' team who had entered the hall at the same time as her team."You should have called us." A complaint grabbed her attention back. Although only one spoke up, he spoke for the team. Everyone pouted like dissatisfied children. "We'd like to get as strong as you." Brandon continued to complain."After all, our strength is equal to the weakest link in the chain, isn't it?" Hamilton reasoned with her.Wilbur nodded eagerly. “I’d need the extra time as much as you do.”They chimed up one after another to back each

"Elias? Elias? Hey. Elias!" "Huh? What?" Elias responded absentmindedly."Are you okay? We've been calling you." Valerie asked."Ah, yeah. I was just absorbed in my thoughts. What is it?"Everyone looked at him funnily. "More like, what were YOU saying?" Another teammate asked.Elias blinked several times, looking lost. "Did I say something?""We were discussing which team to duel with after lunch?" Valerie whispered while nudging him hard. "Focus!""We were? Oh, we were!" He cleared his throat. "That's obviously what I was thinking about."Everyone looked at him unconvinced."Are you still preoccupied with Team Leader Angie?" Valerie asked flatly. "You were obviously staring.""It's called studying the opponent, silly." He rapped her forehead, again. "We'll duel with them later.""Huuuuh?" Everyone on his team groaned. "They're too fierce.""Too unfriendly.""It isn't fun."
