Chapter 21

"What?" Dylan sighed, shifting awkwardly on the white hospital chair. "I'm not meant to tell you this now, you're not in the proper state of mind_" "It's okay Dylan, I just wanna know what happened" "You're sure it's not gonna hurt you? It's a lot to take in" "It can't be that bad. Besides, I already had a lot to take in before It happened." "She hit you in the head with a baseball bat, poured gasoline on the walls of the building and set it on fire" I guess he was right when he said it was a lot to take in.  The truth is, I couldn't feel anything.  I was meant to mad, angry or at least, break down in tears but I ended up feeling nothing.  It was either what she injected in my body or the painkillers I had in my system but either ways, it worked in my favour. I didn't know how I wou

Chapter 22

"Cupcake!" Dylan yelled from behind me.  Wait a minute, what's wrong with me?  Did I just get mad for seeing him kiss a girl?  Did the baseball bat cause any mental damage?  This isn't your business Diana, get it straight into your head. He kissed Helen, not you and that doesn't do a thing to you. He's done enough by paying your hospital bills, bringing you all the way to mall to get you clothes, giving you a place to call home and wasted a lot of time on you. He did all of that for you, not lady makeupson so this only shows your a judgemental and ungrateful bitch.  I stopped walking.  Wow, that's the best advice I'd ever given to myself before and probably the most un-stupidest thing I'd ever thought of.  If that's even a word.  "Why did you leave?" Dylan asked when he caught u

Chapter 23

He was right in front of me and got just as much water as I did but it didn't matter cause he was wet already and it didn't look like he cared anyway.    He held the hose above my head but didn't get my head wet. He held it above my shoulders and down it went through the thin material of my silky dress to my skin. I felt it run down my body quickly and soon, water surrounded my feet.  It went on for seconds, long seconds and definitely far longer than I did but I guess he wasn't wrong when he said I made the wrong choice He moved to my other shoulder and round it went till my entire body was drenched.  He turned off the tap and dropped the hose on the ground.  I slowly peeled my eyes open and released the tension I never thought I had. I released a shaky breath and wrapped my arms round my body.  It was prett

Chapter 24

That's it, I'm dead.  I was having the bad feeling the prank wars thing was going to be the worst experience.  Why? Good question.  It was a lovely afternoon. I was sitting on the couch and watching my favorite TV series while eating food from that popular Chinese restaurant downtown.  Yeah, Dylan got it for me and of course, it tasted like heaven.  Moving on, I heard the doorbell and Dylan offered to get it, which was so responsible of him if I might add. The delivery man was at the door with dye, itching powder, explosives, radioactive waste, paint and fire crackers.  So that, my friend, is why you should never ever ever get in prank wars with a prank king. Ever.  I was still on the couch with my hand on my stomach to check if I would feel any kind of pain.  Not saying he kept

Chapter 25

DYLAN KING "What?" "Robert. Yeah, I know he has a weird surname but he's hot. Really really hot" "Hotter than me?" "Yes, he's very hot" "Not to sound rude but I've not met a Robert" I said, air quoting his name cause duh, she said he's hotter than I am "And I'm way hotter than him" "You just said you've not met him. He might be a Justin Bieber Junior" "No he's not and if he was then I'm still hotter than him"  "Yeah, maybe in your dreams" "Wait, if he's that hot, why isn't he popular yet?" "Um" She paused, looking at everywhere but me.  Is it just me or did it look like she was making it all up?  Nah.  "Well, he's usually in hoodies so people don't get to see him that much but trust me, he's hot

Chapter 26

"Please tell me you're lying." I begged, letting out a sigh and closing my eyes before I let my anger reign on him.  "I'm just kidding and yes, I went through your underwear drawer. It's not like they're that big, don't flatter yourself darling" "You're crazy Dylan, crazy. You can't go through my underwear drawer. It's wrong, you know why?" "Cause you don't want me seeing your underwear" "Exactly and touching them with your dirty hands" "My hands aren't dirty" He said and scanned his palms "I just washed them" "Whatever Dylan. Don't touch my underwear again or look at them or sense them or feel them" I said and stormed away like the badass I was.  Yeah, you know, that moment you walk away dramatically after practically yelling at someone and then you feel like you've showed em who's the boss.  Exactly.&

Chapter 27

Eyeliner, mascara, lipstick and I was done. Standing in front of the mirror, I saw a totally different person.  The bright yellow dress was off shouldered, revealing my shoulder blades and a little bit of my arms. The sleeves were long and ruffled with little white beads attached to the wrists.  It was a little tight around the waist, giving me an hourglass body shape. It reached a little my mid thighs, exposing my not so fresh legs.  They're long though, don't underestimate the beauty of those legs.  I used make up once again, my mini savior. I covered up the bruises on my legs and my shoulders. I decided to go Cassandra and caked my face with so much make up. I did my eyebrows, concealer, powder, highlight, foundation, eye shadow, eyeliner, mascara and went as far as attaching lashes.  And damn, I did it so well.

Chapter 28

Flashback Mr Fluffy was held tightly in between my arms. The brown bunny, if alive, could've died from suffocation.  As a six year old, the only thing I thought of was my unconditional love for the stuffed animal.  With my little hands in my father's, we wondered through the mall, adoring things we could and couldn't afford.  "Daddy I want the princess dress!" I said, pointing at the little glittery pink dress. The wand next to it and the gold wings behind it caught my attention the most.  "Sorry Dee, that dress is a little too expensive" daddy explained, starring down at me.  Seeing the sadness across my face, he crouched down and placed a kiss on my cheek. "What if I get you something else? Another dress maybe" "But I want the princess dress" "Okay" He sighed "Then I guess we won't get ice c

Chapter 29

It felt like I took off my life problems when the dumb dress was detached from my body.  Yeah, detached.  The damn thing didn't come off quickly. It felt like a second skin and the sand in between made it even worse.  Well, Dylan decided it'd be great to get in the water, cold water if I might add and I didn't resist cause, duh, why not?  Anyways, we spent minutes in the water, splashing on each other with absolutely no idea where we would find fresh dry clothes after.  At the sad end, we went home in our wet sandy clothes.  My choice to wear something off shouldered and skimpy backfired. The cold air bit into my skin and at times, made me take breaks to shake it out. I had never been so cold and Dylan, the definition of a perfect gentleman, didn't offer to give me his jacket.  I took a warm bath the mom

Chapter 30

I woke up far earlier than I expected or maybe I didn't sleep at all. I spent my night tossing and turning while watching Dylan sleep next to me but not in a creepy way.  I swear, not in a creepy way.  Anyways, the skies were getting brighter as seconds passed and it only made me realize I had to go to school.  And face the embarrassment.  I couldn't spend a minute without thinking about it. It just kept coming over and over again.  First, it involved Cassandra and we all know how it's gonna be. She'll literally make my life hell even if it was my last alive.  Not to talk of the stares and whispers.  It'll take only social media to share a million messages about Diana Kent within a night. If the internet could give me a dollar for every conversation about me, then guess who's gonna be the next millionair
