Ch.41: The Man Named Ravager

While Diamond Academy was in the middle of their annual fall camping trip for third and fourth graders, a person dressed in a cloak, concealed from head to toe, walked down a cold and sketchy alley, which smelled of rotten food and booze. Trash, broken beer bottles, and drunken men hitting on prostitutes littered the person's path before they walked through a back door. Once inside the bar filled with all types of dangerous men and women, some couldn't help but point their suspicious gazes on the cloaked figure walking towards a booth occupied by four men. Still, the cloaked person was only interested in the large bald man with scars all over his face; his thick muscular arms were wrapped around the waist of two young giggling beauties. Chatting them up, he sang praises of his recent and past victories of plundering vil

Ch.42: Amber Cave

It was a new day, and students gathered outside, curious about today's activity. Maria talked with Mai and Julian when she spotted Princess Luna, greeting her with a wave and smile. The princess acknowledged her greeting with a nod of her head and an awkward yet cute hand wave.  "Alright, students, for today's activity, you all are doing a scavenger hunt, but not just any scavenger hunt. The location for today's activity will take place in Amber Cave." Announcing today's activity was Mrs. Riddle. Curls of soft orange locks ran over her shoulder blades as she pointed her finger to behind where the students stood. Behind them stood the large opening of a cave. "Each student given a list will see five types of eggs that each of you must collect to complete your task for today. But note inside this cave lurks various l

Ch.43: Encounter With Danger

Walking by herself, Princess Luna eyed the rough rocky surface of her surroundings. The luster of light emitted from her crescent moon pendant bracelet allowed her to maneuver through the darkness. The princess continued walking when a source of light greeted her after exiting the tunnel. Luna tilted up her head and saw the source of light came from a large blue crystal glacier. The area she stepped into was broad with three exit tunnels connected to different locations inside the cave. Luna opened her cute sling bag, an item that the teachers handed out to the students at the beginning of today's activity. The bag's use was so that students could have a place to store their captured eggs inside. Stored inside Luna’s bag were three eggs that ranged from topaz, sapphire, and ruby. "I just need two more," Luna muttered to herself when a flash of light issued from her bracele

Ch.44: Hero Saving a Princess

Luna could hardly find the strength to move. Arm and leg movement restricted, she was bound by the chain that enslaved her. Nothing but pure hatred consumed her soul, aware that only one person could be behind this, and that was the empress. 'Heh, so she finally decided to get rid of me.' Beside the wrath that filled her young heart, there was also fear.  The strong front the princess put on before was thanks to her growing up in the palace, but deep down inside, she was still nothing more than a child longing for her mother's protection. 'Mom, I want to see you again.' Hot tears spilled over the edges of her eyelids, picturing her beautiful and dignified mother as Ravager pulled out a sharp sword.

Ch.45: Final Blow

Running over to the princess's side, Maria whispered her plan into the other girl's ear. After hearing what the other girl had to say, Luna mentally ran through her own analysis of Maria’s plan before nodding her head in agreement. "This could work. I promise to assist you!" Hearing that she had the princess's support, Maria was ready to put her plan into action. "Hey, ugly! I'm not done with you just yet! Take this!" A strong tornado of flames shot itself at Ravager, who was about to activate his magic item when he noticed the angle of the attack was off, hitting the crystal glacier uprooted from the ceiling instead of him. Such a baby mistake caused the man to break out into laughter. "Is this all you got, girlie?! If so, step back and let me show you how to really fight!"  Ravager unleashed a chain that be

Ch.46: Saved In the Nick of Time

Prior to Ravager's appearance, the three teachers stood outside happily talking amongst each other when they sensed something off and noticed that the talisman they placed inside the cave the night before alerted them that something placed the children’s lives in grave danger.  "Quick! We must summon them out of there immediately!" Mrs. Riddle urgently cried, eyes cloudy with fear as she pointed them towards the cave. Fourth-grade teacher Mr. Goodwin, a young and handsome looking man, briefly closed his eyes, concentrating on his talisman’s location. But something was blocking him from activating them. "This is bad! I can't summon them out! Something is blocking me!" Mr. Goodwin’s grave words sent a chilling sensation of fear into the two female teachers' hearts.

Ch.47: Rescued

"Alright, girls, let's get to work!" said Paige, armed with her twin pistols, fingers pulling the triggers, issuing rounds of bullets infused with her wind mana. Only for the young woman to curse when her shots did nothing to the phantom-beast’s main body. 'Damn it! This thing’s gotta have a weak point somewhere!' "Boss, it would be in your best interest to attack its face. That's where its weak point lies," spoke the sweet and gentle voice of the cloaked woman. "I'm on it!" said a pretty brown skinned girl dressed in a short battle kimono, disappearing in a cloud of smoke. When Maria took in the girl's appearance plus her skills, her eyes twinkled. 'So cool! A real ninja!' R

Ch.48: Back at Home

"Ms. Paige! Ms. Cordelia! You are a sight for sore eyes~!" Maria smiled weakly, feeling her eyelids growing heavier as all the muscles in her young body felt like jello. Paige was the first to notice the brunette’s condition, reaching to catch the younger girl who could no longer find the strength to keep herself awake. "M-Maria!" Luna worriedly called out to the other girl as the ability to speak had returned to her. "It's okay. She just exhausted all her strength. A few days of rest and she'll be back in tip top shape." Paige gently lifted Maria in her arms, turning her eyes towards the silver-haired elf girl. There were a ton of questions running through Paige's head.  "Just what did you two encounter for the both of you to end up in such a state? Something obviously happened before we made our grand entra

Ch.49: The Man Who I Despise

Luna sat on her bed. Sitting nearby with an anxious and worried expression was her mother, watching as the imperial physician checked her daughter's health. "Consort Elaria, the princess’s health is fine. At this point, she only needs nourishment and good rest."  There were a total of five imperial physicians that worked at the imperial palace, but the one who stood out was a kind man, who looked to be in his mid-thirties, named Sam. Finished with his assessment, Sam packed up his things and left the room. Leaving only the mother and daughter pair inside. Feeling the warmth of her mother's hand, Luna shot her eyes towards the woman. "Mother, I'm fine. So please stop stressing out." Luna hated seeing her mother so exhausted. The pair of bags under the woman's eyes reduced her beauty.
