“Amanda?” Mark suddenly called her lovingly.“Hmmmm?” she asked.“Can we not go on blind dates anymore?” he was hoping he could stop her from obeying her in-laws’ request.“I don’t want to go on blind dates. It’s such a waste of time. At least now if my mother-in-law would bug me again, I can always threaten Benson” she smiled widely.“How about you? No more dates?” she asked teasing him.“Tsk. Nahhh. Never interested in those. If there’s any, it would always be a business meet” he wanted to give her reassurance in a subtle way.

Their table at the ‘Royal Lake’ was set up in a gazebo. Amanda didn’t see other diners on the way there. What she didn’t know was the gazebo is not part of the restaurant available for public. It was part of the hotel area and even though it belongs to the Mills family, Mark still had to pull some strings and cash in some favors to get this in a short notice. But he wouldn’t mind it if it will satisfy his angel.He knew something was troubling her based from her voice and he thought he needed to do something extra for her to feel good. His efforts paid off as soon as he saw the smile on her face and her blushing face. He’s feeling accomplished whenever she smiles.The drive to the hotel was unusually quiet and he finds it awkward. The kids were already asleep and the whole apartment is silent. He didn’t have any common friend with this guy and the account is recently created. Troll account! Why would Amanda entertain this nuisance?

When Amanda went out of the room, her heart was still beating erratically because of her encounter with Mark. She dared to be bold and for a moment she thought she saw excitement in Mark’s eyes.
